Sandy (and Angus) make you feel at home when you enter this large, roomy home. Our room was spacious and very clean. Free wireless was nice. Breakfast was great and served by attentive staff. I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the years around the world and this one would be possibly be the best.The location is ideal being close to the city and many local attractions. Arrived after spending 2 weeks of freedom camping so we were looking for good bed, good shower, good breakfast and night out in Christchurch for some fine food. Achieved all of this and more. Thank you Sandy.

The Devon is in the centre of Christchurch within walking distance of everything. There is carparking at the rear but a car is not needed. This was our first taste of New Zealand and had a warm welcome from the host. Our room was spacious and a nice ensuite. Good filling breakfasts and a great central location. The Devon was our first taste of accommodation in NZ and what a lovely place. Very friendly people made us feel very welcome. My wife and stayed with friends from California at Devon B&B. Rooms are large, quiet, comfortable, and well appointed, with off-street parking. We travelled all over both islands in New Zealand and stayed in about 12 different places. Devon B & B was the best located to a major (&beautiful) city and had the best breakfast and overall service and facilities. Large comfortable rooms, bathrooms, tea making facilities and parking, minutes walk to Arts Centre and Cathedral Square. Has old world character and is quiet into the bargain. Friendly attentive service, good breakfast and helpful owner and staff and internet. Great place, will go back here again.
