Our second visit (first in 2002 on honeymoon) was fantastic and you can see the amazing improvements Den has made to the property and the gardens. This is a special place of tranquility and beauty in the heart of Marlborough wine region. The rooms are lovely, service very personal from Den's team, and the gardens are magnificent.

Lovely to welcome you back to the Convent again, and that you like all the improvments that have been made to the place. It really is a special place. Hopefully see you again in the future.

This was our second visit to Old St Mary's - it is a special place and one we hope to return to before too long. From the moment you enter the grounds of the old convent with its lavender filled landscaped gardens, to the time you reluctantly leave, everything is calm and luxurious. The rooms, overlooking the gardens and vineyard,...

What a stunning place. The building, both inside & out, the setting, the service, which was friendly & helpful with a wonderful breakfast. We would break our long standing rule of never visiting a place twice & make an exception for this amazing place.

I cannot say enough nice things about this superb B & B in the Heart of the Marlborough wine country. Apparently this really was a convent, originally built in 1901. The restoration made extensive use of the lovely old wood and a stunning carved staircase to retain the original charm and character of the convent. Maria, the hostess, was extraordinarily...

There was no 'whining' here....absolute luxury with a casual atmosphere. Maria is an excellent hostess and catered to all our needs. Great amenities include wine, spirits and finger-food platter in the evening~ .....all without the add-on costs. Wonderful cooked breakfast in the spacious, tranquil, light-filled dining room with lovely views of the gardens. The location couldn't be better; right in...

We arrived here tired at lunchtime and were treated to Maria's generous hospitality - a platter freshly prepared and served on our balcony with house (produced by the owner) wine at no charge. Once we had caught our breath we took a stroll in the gardens - full of seasonal fruits and flowers that Maria harvests for breakfast. The following...

We stayed in the Chapel Suite and were amazed at the size, beauty, and uniqueness of this B&B. We were treated like royalty and spent our time in the pool, walking among the vineyard, and relaxing on the porch. The housekeeper/chef extraordinaire - Maria - made us a platter for dinner, and while we were enjoying, we spied her picking...

The convent has been lovingly restored with no expense spared. The grounds are like a botanic garden. White embroidered sheets and tablecloths blew gently on the clothesline. The pool is an added luxury with large royal blue towels and chaise lounges to rest in. The Inn sits in the middle of acres of vineyards with exquisite restaurants a short distance...
