My wife, daughter, and I stayed three nights at the Peppertree Lodge in January. Wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Blenheim. Big, quiet rooms, very friendly helpful hosts, animals to pet, excellent breakfast. All in all a memorable experience.

Heidi the proprietor is extremely welcoming and creates some excellent products from her gardens. Described as a heritage property offering luxury accommodation, Peppertree is a regular standard B&B product based in a turn of the 20th century homestead. The exterior is quaint but the interior is very old fashioned with some "antique" furnishings and others reminiscent of the 70s and...

I will shorten this review by simply agreeing with all the superlatives used by others in their comments. We stayed in several hotels in almost a month on north and south islands and this was the only B&B. It beat the big fancy hotels hands down. A gracious period house and Heidi and Werner were equally gracious hosts. Our only...

This is an expensive guest house but really works hard to make your stay a success. We had the Dormer room which was very hot by the end of a sunny afternoon. A ceiling fan helped to alleviate any discomfort and the nights were cool. I suspect that rooms on the lower floors would not be the same. The hosts...

This delightful place was a real find.... Heidi and Warner who run the place make you feel so at home and can't do enough to make your stay comfortable. They grow all manner of things, from vines, from which they make their own chardonnay and pinot noir, to olives, figs, apples, citrus fruits, plums, apricots and walnuts. Heidi makes all...

When we arrived after a long day (up early in Wellington to catch the Interislander) we thought we were slightly lost near Blenheim but a call to Heidi soon put us right! And what a welcome. Heidi &Werner are not just charming, you feel completely at home with them and, by the time we left two days later, we were...

Heidi and Werner are excellent hosts and their home is a beautiful old (1901) wooden house which has been carefully modernised and extended to maintain its elegance. We were welcomed with wine and canapés when we arrived which was a great opportunity to get to know a bit about our hosts and also to meet the other guests. Heidi talked...

Stay here if you go to wine country in NZ. This was our first stop on our amazing drive around the South Island and one of the most memorable. Heidi and Werner were the best hosts, providing information and ideas about the area. The property is beautiful with it's vineyard, pond, yard and relaxing atmosphere. We even had our own...

This house was recommended to us by Audley Travel. The owners live there and make their own wine and offer home cooking and wine tasting. The house was colonial style and has a history. It is set in large grounds with vines and small farm with beautiful gardens. Behind the property are hills, farms, vines and walking trails. The bedroom...

We spent Christmas eve and Christmas day at Peppertree and although expensive was worth every penny / cent. The room and hotel were lovely and Hedi and Werner really looked after us. The platter we had on Christmas eve and food we on Christmas day was superb. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Jo and Brian
