A smaller Mercure with an equally sized but pleasant reception area. Not much seating available in reception area but there are two reasonably comfortable single sofa seats right by the lift. Service was efficient and business like. One of the pillows in our good sized twin bedroom was stained - could be seen through open end of the pillow case...

Accommodation is expensive in Wellington. For the $230 a night here, we had an old room, clean but very dated. Ripped and partly detached curtains. No view. The bathroom was ancient. No love had been shown to the property for many years. On the up side. Free wifi. Bed was comfy. Staff excellent. Not a bad location. Would certainly not...

We have stayed in numerous Wellington hotels over the years. Our preferred one has become rather too expensive, so we decided to try this Mercure this trip. Location is quite good. Hotel is older style, but it has been refurbished and our room was very tidy and clean, as well as comfortable. We had a sink and a microwave, which...

My partner and I have stayed here twice both times everything went smoothly. Staff really friendly and helpful. Noise is a bit of an issue here. Also a strange issue of the toilet seat not staying up haha for the guys that are planning on staying here. All in all great place close to cbd

I styed for 4 nights week of 31 November 2016. The check-in was fine, the staff were friendly and efficient and took my bags to keep before check-in. They did give me a call once the room was ready. Being silver with Accor I am used to Australian Hotels and am usually offered a late checkout when checking-in. This was...

Lot many hotels to choose from in Willis Street. This one is right on intersection of Dixon Street & Willis Street. Earlier called as Abel Tasman. I had booked rooms in this hotel for my friends who were visiting from India. The rooms are spacious and staff is friendly. They offered me discount, as I had done direct booking and...

Great for a weekend in Wellington - chandeliers in the hallways, strong shower, comfortable beds, easy access into the hotel after sampling the bars late on Courtenay Place, and a lovely church right across the road for Sunday morning. The sprawling, slightly dirty but colourful Capital Markets are a few doors down offering a huge range of mainly Asian food...

Nice hotel and friendly helpful staff. Great location on Willis Street, being quite central to waterfront, Te Papa and Central Wellington. Very adequate room. Would not hesitate to go back in the future and quite reasonable price even when only booked 1-2 days in advance
