Stayed a week in late summer. Parking on site. Old fashioned but clean comfortable and friendly. Excellent food in bar. Located on main road through Tinakori but little noise after 10pm. Several other good quality restaurants within 5 minutes walk. 20 minutes walk down to Lambton Quay. 40 minutes walk to Basin Reserve. Free breakfast!

My partner and I recently stayed here for 1 night and it's a fantastic find, we booked the King Suite and at $125 for the night including breakfast and parking you can't fault it. The King suite is in another building right next door to the pub which means its reasonably quiet. The shower was a good size and really...

We chose the deluxe king room and were very happy with our stay. The rooms are decorated in an old-style and very spacious. The location is great situated in a nice area in the city. The reasonably priced pub below is handy to have. Really enjoyed our night here! Wish we could have stayed for longer

Great parking great service and great to be outside in the sun. Only thing was the fish and chips at $26 per plate pricey. Good range of beers but again pricey. I so get why folk prefer to drink at home!

Okay it's a bit tired and in need of some tlc. But we liked the quirkiness of our King suite with its 4 poster bed and the en suite bathroom was big and spotless. The staff were all warm and welcoming and we had a lovely meal in the pub, liver and bacon for him, lamb shank for me. Usual...

This hotel/bar has been around for a long time. It's obviously not as it was, but it's a classic old drinking venue. Great beers on tap and a bar man who is definitely part of the local scene. Drinks are very reasonably priced, 2 cocktails and 2 beers for $40 is good for Wellington. This isn't a place you stumble...

Good value for money, friendly staff, room fine with fridge and tv but bed very creeky. Could do with a revamp but was clean and did the job. Wifi was good. Powerful shower although bathroom old fashioned. Free basic breakfast included. Not central Wellington but super close to some restaurants / pubs and Botanical gardens including cable car to the...
