Hotel Waterloo and Backpackers, apparently Queen Elizabeth had stayed there but my guess it wouldn't be her top pick now! A quaint little hotel although now very dated, if you looked past this you could imagine what it would have been like as there were remnants of its glory days. Front counter staff were great, welcoming and helpful. Restaurant catered...

Stayed here the weekend with a friend in 2 separate rooms with a shared bathroom just for our rooms, was very comfy and was all we needed for our stay to go and see the military tattoo .Reception Staff were lovely. But on the other hand, the café was not great, I'm sure it is ok when they don't have...

I booked / stayed because the site said the hotel was in walking distance of the ferry. It's close but not walking distance. it's a short bus ride. This is expensive compared to the really great value AirB&B's and lodges I stayed in for the rest of my North Island stay. I was not really treated like a customer.... I...

I never stayed in a backpacker before, we got offer a room with unsuite by the weelington isite information center as we were on the waiting list during a very high season weekend. So we had to take that room. I was absoulutly delighted with the service the offer here. The room was clean and although small but nicely laid...

Ok so I stayed here for 5 nights.... No choice as Wellington was fully booked because of the cricket. I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom. Relatively cheap for length of stay. Is about 10-15min walk into the actual city centre. Pro's: felt safe. Good location (next to train station/bus station/ naked bus pick up point and...

We just stayed a night and chose this hotel because of its proximity to the main train station. The location is great and the double ensuite room was a good size, had a nice bathroom and there were tea and coffee facilities in there. What let it down was the fact our room wasn't ready when we tried to check...

all else very good nice staff very good, and thanks. For the very reasonable price of $85.00 for a night on a queen bed, our stay proved to be very comfortable and worthwhile. Very clean room with good amenities. Will be back there on our next Wellington trip - FOR SURE!!!!

I had a great time here and at the Buzz bar! I worked at this hostel back in 2006, it's changed quite a bit but is still pretty good for the value! It will need some upgrades soon but if your looking for food drinks friendly staff and some history this is your hostel. The location is fabulous, right across...

Stayed here for three nights in a three bed dorm with en suite! Had s great sleep every night. I was in room 321 which had been recently painted and to the rear so I got no noise. Found this a great base for my travels, my room mate was very considerate. Able to pop onto level 1 for a...

Really cool Art Deco style hotel literally right across from the Bluebridge ferry terminal. The building had been around since the 1930's and the character of this place makes it worth a stay. Staff clean the bathrooms and rooms daily, and the reception is super helpful with bookings and anything else you might need.
