Great style and feel in a brilliant location. There are not many places right downtown Wellington that you can wake up to the view of kowhai, cabbage trees and tuis. Upper Cuba is going crazy with new places and City Cottages provides an oasis of serenity while being right in the middle of it all.

Thanks for your review. Upper Cuba Street is a buzzy part of town and we love having a little oasis with native trees (Kowhai and Cabbage Trees) and native song birds (Tui) in our garden.

My second stay at a city cottage a warm comfortable spot, warm within minutes with the new heat pump, As usual our little house was spotless and nicely presented. A huge plus is the location and to be able to park your car in view is such a plus. Easy to get in and out of with the main motorway running...

Thanks for staying with us again Anne. Isn't the new heat pump great! Keeps things cozy in winter and will keep things cool in summer.

Perfect location, lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Perfect for me and two children visiting for 'Disney on Ice' Excellent to have wifi and free parking. Futon was comfortable to sleep on but difficult to return to seating which I needed to do. Everything we needed to feel at home.

Thanks for your review. The futon is tricky to return to seating position - hopefully you found the instructions.

A fabulous property, very well presented and wonderfully close to all the activities that we wanted to enjoy. Perfect for couples, business or a small family. Hosts were amazing and even put us in contact with a wonderful babysitter. Would recommend this accommodation and we would definitely stay here again!

we stayed in 7 Tonks Grove restored it tags - cosy, but full kitchen and separate queen bedroom. We were able to sleep our 2 young teens on the sofa bed and a single foldaway which was very comfortable. Thank you to staff who arranged this as an extra. Location was perfect - 10mins walk to te Papa and quayside...

Great place to stay, located in one of the most fun streets down town. Lots to see around and just a couple of days were definitely not enough. The apartment was just beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and the place nicely warm even though we had minus 2 outside, rain and local wind of course. Everything worked perfectly, nice...

Thank you for the review. We installed a new heat pump air-conditioning system this year which means each cottage has it's own fully controllable heating and cooling system. Great to hear it is being appreciated on wintery nights.

Clean, beautifully appointed, great water pressure in the shower and ideally located off Cuba Street - can't say enough positive things about this place. If you're visiting Wellington, look no further!

Visiting family in Wellington, could not ask for a better location at the top of Cuba st, quaint apartment with all amenities you could reasonably ask for and premium bedding as well. Only downside a little noisy but you have to expect this in such a central city location.

Thanks for your review. There is noise some weekends, especially when people are heading home from a night out. As you say, it is to be expected in the central city - and at least it is not early morning lawn mowers or children playing which you might get in more suburban locations! :)

Stayed one night with my husband. Very warm and comfortable. Friendly communication with staff, we wanted to add our friend to the booking and very kindly the sofa bed was all set up for her with enough towels etc. Fantastic location just off Cuba street. Highly recommend. Parking is available which is fantastic for its city centre location.

Quaint, clean, very comfortable, fully renovated, dish washer, clothes washing and drying machine, great coffee for plunger, delicious cookie jar, excellent location. We walked to Te Papa, Bats Theatre, info centre, botanic gardens, parliament, and quay wharf. Both beds very comfortable. Would stay here again.
