Modern hotel with no airconditioning! They provide a pedestal fan which is very little use as the outside doors face toward another building 5m away and let in street noise. Only one lounge chair for 2 people. This was a 'courtyard room' on the 7th floor which only had a 1m wide balcony facing a bedroom 5m away.

This hotel is well located in Tory St and offers good apartment style accommodation. Our room was well maintained and set out. Something it doesn't offer is air con, which is an issue in the warmer months. This issue was compounded for us because there were road works day and night, so we didn't want the doors open. However the...

A beautiful hotel in the center of Wellington. Only a couple of blocks from Cuba St, two blocks from Courtenay Place (restaurant central), and only a short distance from the harbor. The room had a fully stocked kitchenette with a full-sized fridge for our long stay. The parking was convenient and the wifi very reliable.

I stay at the Distinction regularly when working in Wellington. It is close to my office which is a perk but I'd stay here even if not working. It is walking distance to most of the CBD and the rooms are large -- living/dining area separate from the bedroom and it has a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, good-sized fridge, etc. I...

This hotel is located in downtown Wellington, just minutes from the waterfront, restaurants shops and museums. The studio apartment we were initially allocated was very hot and had no washing machine, but they kindly upgraded us to a much cooler 1-bed apartment on a lower floor. The apartment was modern, clean and had a very workable kitchen area and a...

We booked a two bedroom suite for one night as were coming to Wellington for a show at the St James Theatre. Googled hotels in the inner city, close to theatre, and found this one. Had everything we needed - extremely tastefully decorated/secure location/open 24 hours so we could access easily after show/close to restaurants and dairy right at entrance....

A well positioned hotel with decent size rooms. But no air conditioning in this day and age is fairly unusual. The hotel is located on a small street with loud roadworks. A notice of this from the hotel would have been professional. Also, the backpacker accommodation next door will keep you entertained with loud conversations well into the night. Far...

Because my Jetstar flight from Tasmania arrived two hours late, I missed my train. So, reluctantly, Jetstar put me up in this hotel for a night. Since my train did not travel that route again for four more days, I paid to extend my stay at the Distinction. Not only was the room comfortable and clean, it had a kitchen...

This hotel is central to restaurants and bars in the CBD. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean, and has a balcony. Checkin was fast and staff friendly and efficient. Only staying one night, pity I wasn't staying longer. There is no room service, but with so many bars and restaurants minutes away, and own cooking facilities, why would...

Five of us slept in a two bed room with a very comfortable camp bed put up alongside two singles in one of the rooms. Kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher, full integrated oven and full size fridge. Located conveniently for the city's main attractions and waterfront too. Downsides: not real milk for in room coffee; noisy being so close...
