Booked in for 2 nights, wish we could stay longer but our time in NZ is nearly up. A very clean, modern and social hostel. Staff were great and friendly! Also a great location for all activities, 5 minutes walk to the town and 10 to the lake. Sad to be leaving this hostel so soon. Thanks everyone!

The hostel is conveniently located, just a short walk into town and a couple hundred meters from a Pak'n Save. I stayed in a five-bed dorm which was nice. No bunk beds. It is fairly quiet although it's located on a major street. The facilities were usually okay, not really clean but not yet disgusting (at least for the most...

This was the only accommodation we could find for this date but, I'm so glad we stayed here. For a backpackers it is very good, all bedding and towels provided and even a TV in our room. Although it was shared bathroom, it was so handy as the rooms all connected to offer the bathroom as ensuite. Location is central...

Warning - if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke don't stay here. You enter the complex through the center courtyard that is also the smoking area. The smoke can drift into the kitchen/dinning area and into some of the rooms. Smoking in the courtyard also prevents non-smokers from using the sitting area of the courtyard. The rooms had actual bed...

I stayed 1 night in here, it was a normal hostel with a very friendly staff very willing to help and inform you. The rooms were basic, clean, there's laundry, there's kitchen. Everything was ok and the price was reasonable.

A group of us came to stay here for two nights so that we could complete the Tongariro Crossing. We booked out the 6 bedroom dorm and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The dorm was clean and has its own shower and toilet so no having to walk to any other part of a building for the toilets etc. Really comfortable...
