Stayed here with the family on a weekend trip. It is a very tired hotel and not a patch on other Sudima hotels in NZ. This one caters for the mass coach tourist market and it looks very used and tatty - and to be frank it is an embarrassment that we host overseas guests in such poor conditions. We...

Dear Guest Thanks for taking the time to write your review and rating, I agree that our hotel caters for a different market segment to the other Sudima hotels which are brand new, we are constantly upgrading our rooms, I would have recommended to book a Superior room which all of them have air conditioning units, I am sorry if...

A pleasant stay here. Annoying music/musac in the bar area. I feel that the Bathrooms need updating. My shower did not work the 1st night there. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in rectifying 'it' and even offered me a shower in another room than mine. Mended by the afternoon. We had our own Restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

We stayed two nights here while touring. We really loved the location and the staff were all very friendly. We had a lovely dinner where I had the chefs salad which was so good and my husband had The burger. What made this dinner special was your waitress Roxy was so sweet, kind and we shared stories with her being...

I stayed here for 2 nights on part of a Contiki tour. The hotel is just next to the Polynesia spa and is just in a really nice location with great views. Although it's kind of far away from the actual town center but still could walk or catch a Taxi which didn't cost much at all. The only issue...

Dear Steph Thanks for your kind review and comments, I am really happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, In regards to only having one key per room is a matter of security which we take very serious. Kind regards Atalo de la Rocha / Hotel Manager

Sudima hotel is in need of a refurb. It is very tired and in retrospect we would have only stayed one night in Rotorua in exchange for more time in places like Queenstown and Wanaka, which had more going on and nicer scenery. It was not helped by the fire alarm going off at 04.30 and a somewhat chaotic evacuation....

Dear Guest Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your experience staying with us, I am sorry for the alarm event as this wasn't by any means intentional but a fault in the system and as per regulation we do need to evacuate the building, we are constantly upgrading our rooms and facilities to provide a better experience...

Booked into the Sudima because it had an on-site massage room. Had a fantastic massage by Sue, which was the highlight of my stay and did wonders for me. The free private spas are a nice touch. It's not a very flashy hotel but has the basics that you need for your stay and is in a fab location on...

This hotel is located on the lake edge just along from the Polynesia Spa. The views are lovely if limited. It should be a good hotel, with good amenities and restaurant - going on the Auckland one of the same chain and the prices it charges. Sadly it isn't. The staff on the reception desk and wait-staff in the restaurant...

The Sudima is badly in need of renovation. It is a little dumpy and very noisy, our room being up against the main walkway and, apparently, delivery route. The early morning disruptions were not appreciated! The air conditioning was difficult to set and maintain, so warm-weather guests, beware! Free wi-if is extremely limited. Parking is indeed more than sufficient, and...

My wife and I spent two nights here on our Distant Journeys Highlights of New Zealand and Australia tour. Ours was a large room with two large double beds in the modern annexe. The room had all the usual amenities including an iron and ironing board and large flatscreen TV (although reception was not great!). There was enough wardrobe space...
