I stayed for 3 nights at Cook's Lookout. It was everything that I needed: quiet, great views, easy wifi access and a perfectly-cleaned room with a great balcony. Norm and Shelagh were delightful and helpful hosts - they had good advice about activities and booked me on to a great day's sailing in the Bay of Islands. So if you...

We stayed at Cook's Lookout Motel for 5 nights in December with our children aged 9 and 7, in a 2 bed Ocean view apartment. The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable, and the view was sensational! Norm and Shelagh were wonderful hosts and provided valuable assistance and information about trips and outings, even checking on detailed weather forecasts to...

We left it late in the day to get a bed for the night, so we're delighted that we could get into this motel, about 3 km out of the town but with spectacular views over the bay, and on all sides. The apartment was good value and had everything for self catering, wifi, BBQ access, swimming pool and laundry....everything...

Cook’s Lookout is a quiet get away from it all location and only about 5 minutes drive to bustling Paihia for the many restaurants, cafes, ferry boats, charter trips and activities. The owners, Norm and Shelagh were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Our apartment, like so many at this Motel had a stunning panoramic view of the...

We stayed at Cooks Lookout for New Years in one of the Ocean view studios. Highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. Very clean and tidy unit which was...

Believe the photos - that really IS the view - but even that doesn't show how stunning it really is. My Mom and I stayed here for a week in early December, and it was the perfect base to explore the magnificent Bay of Islands and top of New Zealand. Norm and Shelagh are fabulous hosts, and could not have...

I stayed here for 3 nights with 2 friends while travelling when visiting NZ for Rugby World Cup. The hosts Norm and Sheilagh provided great advice on places to visit and where to eat. Coming back at the end of a long day out it was nice to relax on the deck and watch the view over the water. Facilities...
