We stayed here for one night in Winter and were very happy with our stay. Each of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the area. The rooms are a little old but they were clean, well presented and exactly what we were expecting for the price that we paid. Our included breakfast was also very enjoyable.

I stayed here for two nights in winter and really enjoyed my stay. It was warm and cosy and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. He helped me book activities, lent me a bike and gave me advice on what to do with my time. Really nice homey kind of place, don't choose here if you want a party...

We had just one night here, and I was pleasantly surprised at the property considering the price we paid. Booked a standard room - which was quite large and contained a double bed & single. Comfortable sofa, and coffee table. Bathroom/shower were fine. Efficient heater. Pouring with rain, and it's winter so we didn't spend much time outside but I...

My friends and I stayed in this hotel overnight during winter. Paihia was like a ghost town. Hotel was not busy either. Check in and check out was breezy. Our rooms were in a building next to the reception. Our room was clean and simple. Comfortable bed and pillows. Heater worked really well. There was also an electric fan if...

Nice little motel type hotel situated within easy walking distance of Paihia's shops and restaurants, but no view of the sea. Our room was spacious and had a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom, but a little tired looking. Very friendly staff on reception - we were given lots of useful information about the area and the trips available. We...

Paihia is not a big city so all of the hotels are small. Like all of NZ it is a haven for backpackers. The hotel is a bit of a walk from downtown. The rooms may vary. I was in one of the ones in back. I think that it was 212. It was a very large bi-level room with...

Although our room was of average size, it felt dark and rather cramped, with very old furniture and the carpet was filthy. Bathroom facilities were in real need of updating and the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Also our kettle stopped working during the evening and the staff were unable to find a working one until the next day....

Fantastic place to stay, nice quiet, good pool, and we had a family unit and the beds are huge and comfortable. Staff were friendly and easy walking distance to beach and bars. Only downfall is the old equipment in the gym, it needs up grading!
