I had a great time during my 5 months stay at newton Lodge The hostel is very clean, comfortable and central that a lot of people choose to stay here longer than a few days. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Raccomanded

Been here over a month and they still charge you 50c to print off 1 piece of paper for proof of address... Kitchen needs massively updating (2 hot plates for over 60 people), sofas are old and worn with springs almost coming out of the cushion, beds creak even when breathing, pillows are dreadful, staff are rude, showers are good,...

the room to myself was so big, mainly as the beds are bunks & the showers, bathroom & toilets were clean enough, but with them not allowing guests into the rooms (after 9pm) that the customer is in I felt was a crazy, that end of the day that their rules. as I had a room to myself I had...

It is going to be difficult to say a lot on this guesthouse: clean, quiet, well located and cheap- nothing particular. I slept in a dormitory, I had a locker which was helpful. I did a late check in thanks to the mail I had received indicating me the digit code and details-convenient.

The minute I entered the rooms I wanted to run away. This is not a normal hostel, this is more a long term stay hostel! So everyone lives there and they have a MESS! Beds are not comfy, their super noisy and the AC is on all day so a lot of nights some of us were cold and the...

You not allowed to drink, smoke , chenge a bed, hang your cloths in the room, bringing guest after 9 pm, storage your luggage after 11 pm. I had a flight in the morning and ask to store my luggage until 2 am. They refuse! when I ask what I'm supposed to do with a big backpack between 11 pm...

We spent 5 nights here for a stop before our departure date. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm and we weren't expecting much as it was very cheap but it definitely met our standards and we were very happy customers! The shower and toilets were very clean! The kitchen was always kept tidy, there wasn't much space in the fridges...

We stayed twice here, first time it was half empty place with calm atmosphere, clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen but second time was very busy and even tho the cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms was still pretty much spot on, the kitchen floor, tables and fridges were overflowing with food and dirty dishes, young guests are bit too lazy to...

Room was basic with 2 wooden bunk beds and a desk, but comfortable for a one-night stay for an event at the Aotea Centre. It's a quick 10-15 minute walk downhill to the Viaduct along Queen St, so is on the outskirts of the CBD for a great price. Walls are a bit thin and you can hear people talking...

Location is good, close to Auckland's main stree (Queen street), but the upper side of it, what means you have to walk about 10-15 min to get to the city centre (touristic information centre where you can book tours and find the sky tower). The hostel is big, clean and organized. The twin room is big and beds are quite...
