Location is in Parnell, a trendy area of Auckland with neat restaurants within easy walking distance, and close to the docks for day trips. The hosts were extremely helpful with recommendations and information. Accommodiation is clean and comfortable, but basic. Rooms are a bit small and lack temperature control.

Comfortable B&B in Parnell. Rooms dated, but fairly typical for Auckland. This isn't Manhattan. Hosts went out of there way to be friendly and helpful. For our needs traveling with teenagers, this place was just fine. If you want a romantic spot, stay at the Huka Lodge in Lake Taupo. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to...

The upside about Chalet Chevron is the location in Parnell. The downside is pretty much everything else. It's a few minutes walk from the many restaurants in Parnell and from the bus-stop from which downtown Auckland is only a ten minute ride. The decor of our room was hopelessly dated, the room lacked any redeeming charm and space was at...

Great location and inexpensive - 1920’s it sure is – no frills. Hosts were friendly, breakfasts great although juice was “off” If you aren't after luxury, don't mind dated decor, basic amenities, and small rooms - this "great little hotel" is fine - however it is not for a romantic getaway...We feel the advertising is misleading.

Kelly and Cathy are devoted to caring for their guests. Great location in Parnell, LINK bus takes you everywhere, cooked English breakfast if you wish, spacious living/lounge area, where you can make yourself tea and coffee all day. They have great advice on the city and NZ, 10% discount for a week's stay, wi-fi throughout that works, The cozy singles...

Here's the good: we were fortunate to get this at last minute when our flight to Auckland was unexpectedly moved up by a day and our B&B of choice was full for that first night. And the room had two bright windows (plus one in the bathroom). Oh, good location and, truthfully, I've stayed in much worse...when I was much...

I have had the opportunity to visit Chevron Chalet and was delighted with it. It was warm and friendly and extremely clean. The hosts Kelly and Barb went out of ther way to make their guests feel welcome and are most knowledgeable about things to do and places to see in the area. They go the extra mile for you...

My wife and I used the Chalet Chevron for 6 nights; 4 nights on our arrival in New Zealand and 2 nights prior to our departure in December 2009. The hotel has a lovely location in Parnell, being close to the Cathedral, the Museum, the shopping & restaurant district of Parnell Road and the Link bus routes, As the main...

Accommodation shabby & dated with poor quality furniture. Bedrooms very noisy from water pipes, the busy road and air conditioning unit of neighbours. Breakfast OK . Poor attention to detail -the cutlery at each place setting did not match and some cutlery and plates were dirty. A piece of fruit was very mouldy. Near to charming Parnell - good restaurants...
