You get what you pay for in this hostel. It's basic and busy and didn't seem very communal or social. Didn't have a real problem with noise. It was a little fusty. Location wise it's pretty good. You are in the middle of everything with plenty of shops, the port and eateries a short distance away. Parking is expensive but...

Queen Street Backpackers had great customer service and they made sure that our needs were met. The rooms were cosy but you were restricted on space-was quite small. You get what you pay for. It is located in the CBD so you can go anywhere. Can be a bit noisy on Saturday nights due to being in the CBD though.

I stayed here by myself for a couple of nights. The location is very good if you want to be in the center of Auckland, close to the harbour and transport such as fairies, buses, trains and taxi. I stayed in a 8 bed dorm, and had problem sleeping as this was in the winter and weekend. The blankets are...

Good location but one of the poorer hostels I stayed at. Stayed here for one night and sank through the slats in the top bunk. Bathrooms were cramped and not particularly clean. Glad I am heading elsewhere when I return to Auckland

To say that I hated it here would be an understatement. I arrived very early and was given a key to my room but had to store my luggage and come back later, so I spent the entire day walking around the city. When I arrived at 9PM, exhausted from travelling and touring, I get to my room to discover...

good location, but the hostel is very noisy, young drunk people making sure of it. Then the street is also very noisy on party nights, few nights per week. Could be cleaner and the welcoming staff a little more welcoming instead of eating pizzas. Still not great but not so bad.

We stayed there for one week. It is well located. We had a private room, it was ok but pretty small. The mattress was made of foam and the bed base was in metal, so really not comfortable at all. The kitchen is well equipped but people keep leaving their dishes unwashed! There is a bar under, so it is...

Would recommend this hostel, rooms were clean and big, was easy to socialize. Not a party hostel but the street is of course quite noisy. 8 bed dorm didn't feel too crowded. Free wifi is a huge plus and think hostel was good value for money. Way better than Nomads!

After a great stay at a hostel on KRoad I was looking for somewhere a little closer on Queen St & this hostel seemed ideal. Free wifi & big windows in each room. It was $31 a room which I soon discovered meant a dorm room with a thin foam mattress sagging all over so that I couldn't get a...

I can only say positive things about that hostel! The staff is incredibly friendly and organized. The place is tidy and the rooms are clean. The 2 kitchens have everything you need to cook. And of course the location is superb :-) you can walk to every place that is worth to see in Auckland within only a few minutes!...
