Stayed 2 nights. Didn't want anything more than 3 star and this place was excellent for our needs. Room was good size. Clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable. Shower had been modernised and was very good. Though the door leaked. Staff were friendly and helpful, even when lots of guests were checking in/out. Location is ok. 10 minutes downhill to...

A nice tidy well run hotel. Good restaurant and nice bar area with lounge type area off to the side. We were off to a concert an Vecor and this was only a 6 minute walk. Reception staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days and found the rooms comfortable, although the shower is a little small and one of the rooms needed its windows cleaned. The hotel is right in the middle of the University area and is in easy walking distance (about 10 minutes downhill) to Britomart. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Although...

We only stayed for 1 night, thank goodness. When booking in the staff we very busy with people checking in and out at the same time, they were stressed and not friendly or helpful at all. Our room would not be ready till 2 pm, so we had to store our cases in a room and come back later. As...

This is a very average hotel downtown. The location is near the University of Auckland. My main complaint is no free WiFi. Otherwise, the rooms are fine and the bedding was good. The bathroom has a decent amount of space and the showers good. The rooms are just a bit old and could use a refresh but, if you just...

This hotel lives up to its billing as a 3 star hotel. The rooms are adequate for a couple of nights only otherwise I think they would be too claustrophobic for any more. The reception and bar areas are fine but the rooms themselves are in need of decoration, there are stains all over the landing and bedroom floors as...

I stayed here for a couple of nights on a tour of the north island. I thought the room was very nice and well appointed for a hotel in this price range. The king size bed was very comfortable, although it did take up most of the room. It is a few blocks to the center of Auckland, and uphill...

We booked a superior twin room for two nights at the start of our holiday after two long haul flights giving us chance to adjust to the time difference. We soon learnt that the wind noise was in fact the noise from the lift cables and discovered that our superior room was immediately adjacent to the lift shaft. The lounge...

Stayed here with my husband for our 1st year anniversary and booked the Junior Suite room on the top floor. Room was perfect, fast elevator, lounge, kitchenette, very comfy bed, big shower and not a bad view too! Sound proof doors with lovely little balconie off both lounge & bedroom. Beautiful continental breakfast - will definantly be back!

We arrived from 3 long haul flights in a row and were exhausted. The welcome at reception was excellent and lots of information provided to us. The room was clean but disappointing for the price. We slept for most of our stay and got a good rest. I'm unsure if I'd stay again though.

Thank LauraTipp
