Spent 2 nights here and found the facilities clean, staff accommodating and generally very good. Only issue was the rooms are VERY small. We require a wheelchair access room and although the room met the need we needed to move furniture around in order to have enough space to get between things. My only advice would be to remove some...

This is a modern hotel on the edge of the waterfront. Fabulous design based around the element of water. Water facing rooms are best with great views of the boats in dock. Superb service from team members. Only disappointment we did not get turndown which you would have expected at this level.,

We holidayed in New Zealand's north island for two weeks over Christmas and New Year and made our bookings 10 months earlier back in February as we wanted to see the New Years Eve fireworks in Auckland from our hotel. Our first night on arrival from Sydney before Christmas was very pleasant in a lovely room with a good outlook...

I tend to like smaller boutique hotels rather than chains but we have stayed in several Sofitel's while traveling abroad and they have consistently good because their staff is well trained, the Concierge services always top notch and at least the hotels we have stayed in have good spa and fitness facilities so after a long travel day, it is...

Took a room overlooking the Viaduct Harbour for three nights. It was so beautiful both day and night. The room was tastefully done, with a subtle use of turquoise and silver and the paisley pattern. Walking along the Harbour front is a joy.

We stayed at the Sofitel around New Year's eve and were a bit disappointed by a combination of things: 1- Rooms are not great: There are specific bad features of the rooms (like the blinds that keep breaking, the curtains that don't go all the way down to the floor, facing another building, etc) The room temperature was hard to...

I loved this hotel. Classy luxury. Lovely and quiet. Beautiful surroundings and views, on the water canals with a very short walk to the waterfront, and then along the main pathway into the city. The restuarant and food were stunning. Service was excellent. My only complaint is that the bedding and pillows were too soft for our personal taste, but...

This is a good property. It is within walking distance to the Viaduct Harbor, Downtown and Britomart. Also North Wharf is also around the corner and has great eateries. The area is being developed so soon will provide a lot more shopping options also. This is the quieter part of town. The rooms are good sized. The views vary so...
