This serviced apartment block is a joy to stay at. It's professionally staffed, very clean and the rooms ( I have stayed in a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom) are both spacious and have a great layout. I love the views from the balconys of both sides of the city, close to supermarkets and pubs. Franklin street is a...

When: 10 days January for Australian Open 2015 Pros: very clean, professional staff, room was modern enough. Facilities such as the indoor pool, sauna, spa, gym were all adequate but now mind blowing. THE PRICE! I was gobsmacked at the price for our length of stay here compared to other places, and knowing that the sacrifice was location, not in the heart,...

Stayed at Milano Serviced Apartments last week. The staff was absolutely wonderful. My partner had to go into hospital the day we arrived and they let us park our car early and have an early check in. It's a great location, so close to everything, the facilities, the pool, spa, sauna were excellent. We stayed in 2 bed/2 bath and...

Loved: . Great location, can easily walk down town (or catch a tram back up) or to Lygon St. Aldi next door. . Large indoor heated lap pool. . Staff very helpful. Disliked: . Aircond would only run on max freezing. . Common areas / hallways near lifts smelt.

My stay in this apartment block was excellent. With off-street parking and good front-door security, it was a very comfortable stay. It is at the north end of the City, almost opposite Victoria Market which makes it so convenient - a quick tram ride to the City proper or a leisurely 15 minute walk to the Bourke Street Mall. The...

Apartments are well set out with a well equipped kitchen, balcony 2 TVs one with Foxtel. The indoor pool is 25m so is ideal if you want to swim rather than just relax, the gym was also a good size. Upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment when I only booked 1 which didn't really matter. The only thing you might...

We booked an apartment for 2 adults for the weekend and was pleasantly surprised when offered an upgrade to a 2 bedroom. I was travelling with my friend so having separate rooms was great. The apartment was a good size and we also had a balcony which was nice. The location is in walking distance from Lygon Street, the Victorian...

If you have booked and fully paid for your accommodation at Milano apartments and you receive a phone call informing you that there has been a flood (or some other unforeseen circumstance) and the management offer to transfer you to their sister property Tribecca - think carefully before you accept this offer.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 adults for a weekend. The apartment was a good size and had everything you could possible need. We had a balcony which was nice. The stand out point was the staff. We were delayed by 2 hours due to bad weather and when we called (still sitting on the tarmac) the girl...

I stayed here for two weeks on a business trip. The room was nice with two bedrooms. The kitchen was stocked well-enough with utensils. I was on the 14th floor facing Franklin Street. Even at that height there was Smoot of street noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Theres a decent enough grocery store right next door, and the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
