Stayed here for the white night festival and really enjoyed our stay. Close to the heart of Melbourne but far enough away for some peace and quiet. The room was very spacious with a fully self contained kitchen a master bedroom with one king size bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. The pool was great with a...

This hotel is in a great cbd location. The staff are very helpful and the general feel is great. Our room however has a few small issues then need attention. Pin holes in the blackout curtains, curtain rail broken, towel hook behind bathroom door broken, exhaust fan in bathroom not working. The walk to the pool is interesting. A bit...

First stay at the Oaks on Market, very handy location just off Collins Street at the old financial end of town. Short walk to Flinders Street station, with a tram stop on Collins Street. The rooms are functional although beds a little hard and could do with more than just 2 pillows.

It's an Oaks venue so you expect a certain standard such as comfortable bed, modern furnishing and clean. Ticks all the boxes for all mentioned . The buts were: - 2 out of 4 lifts were out of order for a while. One morning the lift stops in almost each floor as it made ta way down from 12 floor....

My daughter & I stayed at Oaks on Market for a week in January & we were given an upgraded room which had a lovely outlook, was clean & tidy & very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly & happy to chat with us, but the best part of visiting here was the wonderful David who checked us in....

Stayed during the Australian Open - was great to see the hotel get into the spirit of the event (daily information for matches, tennis table, tennis themed offers in the bar). There's also the regular daily meal deals, and happy hour, and of course the awesome hotel staff that made the stay an enjoyable experience

In the CBD close to express way and centre. Great location. City from here on foot or by tram. Great for business and pleasure. Rooms are big enough and the river view is beautiful. Parking Garage close to hotel available.

Such a promising start to a 2 night stay until we walked into the apartment room 1605 and the overpowering stench of stale smoke. Reported to reception straightaway who sent housekeeping up after we decided to go for a walk, room was deodorised - it only masked the smell. Put it this way was that bad my husband and 1...

Booked via last minute based on past stays. On arrival was given what we believe is one of the worst rooms in Melbourne. Room 214. Asked for a different room but was told fully booked although rooms available on line. Too hard basket. Obviously on line bookings get a downgrade. Room was dirty, dated, and smelt pictures on wall hung...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
