As we arrived in Melbourne, very comfortable with two Airporter-Bus directly to Hostel, we've been very tired. We had a 4-Bed-Mixed-Room. We slept very good. The staff at the reception is very friendly and we got lot's of helpful hints for town. The kitchen is huge and crowded and not always the cleanest, but that is because of so many...

This place is clean, tidy and seems to be well maintained. But it's so noisy. The walls are no barrier to the sounds that carry between them. People are on the go 24 hours here and it seems like they're telling to each other. I asked my neighbours to keep the noise down at 1:30 am and I was grateful...

It's awful that I was mislead that on the level of the dorm room I was staying that there's no shared t.v lounge room(like on all the levels-only a t.v room on level 3 & on the ground floor that don't turn into all the major channels),but when I watch regular shows the channels won't tune into them! The showers were...

There's nothing wrong with this hostel. Sure it's a little old and worn out but it's the location that sucks. There's a decent cafe within the hostel but if that's shut it's a fair old hike to get food. The highlight is the roof area. The common areas downstairs are just too small, especially when the dinning area is reserved...

Stayed for 8 nights in an 8 share dorm while visiting Melbourne. Hostel has great facilities: big kitchen & dining area, big common room downstairs, good sized TV/reading room, another common room. My only criticisms are: (1) toilets can get quite grotty (2) walls and doors throughout hostel are grimy so could do with a sugar soap (3) shower cubicles...

Small, very basic room but was sufficient for our needs as we did not spend much time in it Handy to get to a concert in Melbourne zoo but quite a hike to other places, could be noisy at times but not unbearably so. The bed was ok, not especially comfortable but not horrible either, however the shower badly needs updating, no...

I don't know if it was because it was winter or because it's not the central yha but this hostel was empty, me and my friend had a 8 bed dorm to ourselves the whole weekend which we thought was great. It really close to central took us five minutes to walk in the main shopping district and right next...

I stayed here several times in August 2014. The great thing for me at that time was the secure carpark. Period. It did have a very good kitchen and laundry facility too. Wifi was avalable and was the BEST available in the 8+ yha hostels I stayed at in OZ this year.

I stayed in a quadshare at the YHA Metro for a couple of nights. The room was nice, the lockers are a little on the small side, but I still could fit everything in. There was a desk in the room, and lots and lots of sockets. There even was a floorlenght mirror. The bathrooms were clean - I was...

I frequently visit Melbourne usually stay with YHA. When I have a need to rent a Car I usually stay here because street parking is plentiful and have no issues with noise due to its location in a quiet residential suburb. Location is not right in the city centre but a tram stop is close by. Place always seems to...
