We attended a sporting competition in Arden Street and the hotel is in walking distance. The room was quiet and beds were awesome. We had a room with two queen size beds. We stayed there before and the rooms could do with lick of paint. The breakfast on the first day was a bit disappointing as nothing was refilled (we...

This hotel is very close to the city shops and hospitals, and although my room was fine, the place is a little tired. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. I wasn't there long enough to try the meals, so can't comment on them.

Very tired rooms that must be difficult for staff to present well. Located close to hospitals for those needing accommodation. Staff were very pleasant to deal with. The beds were very comfortable, and the onsite restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner. The rooms were not only dated but could also do with a really thorough dusting and cleaning. Parking...

Spent two nights here on a business trip, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable although dated, I had a roadside room where the window did not properly close so was a bit noisy. The restaurant is fairly basic as is the choice of food .

Not far from city, location great for hospitals, races etc Old hotel, neat, clean, just out of date. Parking great, under cover, didn't have to pay. Breakfast ok, buffet, had to pay for hot chocolate or cap. Just had basics. Couldn't get food on the weekend, which was disappointing as we wanted a snack whilst getting ready, checked in at...

Even if this run down hotel had been re-badged as an Ibis Budget, it would be to the detriment of the brand. I chose this hotel on a recent one night stay in Melbourne as I did not need to visit the CBD and it seemed well located and reasonably priced. I should have read other reviews before booking. Arriving...

Very poor rooms. Dirty carpets fading bathroom the lift is ancient and shaky. Colleague had no AC, other colleague had dirty underwear in drawer from previous guest. AC leaking water on carpet. Would not recommend. Staff helpful and friendly is the only positive.

Spent 1 night at Mercure North Melbourne after choosing this hotel for the location and for being part of the Mercure brand. The hotel needs serious updating- whilst the lobby might look modernized the room reminded me of my uni dorm room. The lift is old - from the 70s- and it looks like the rest of the hotel. My...
