Wow! What a great hotel. Another quality Rydges stay! Had a 1 bed apartment. It was HUGE! Check in was seem less. Only hiccup was parking. The onsite parking has an attendant who is employed by Wilsons who is less than friendly. The hotel should address this considering their facilitation. Breakfast was amazing and room service was just as good....

Hi Jessica1210, Thank you for sending through such glowing feedback, the team will be wrapped with this, they really love hearing about guests time with us in a such a positive way. I will follow up with Wilson's, you're absolutely right, whilst not our operation, still a part of our guest experience, I couldn't agree more. Look forward to having...

Stayed from Sunday the 5th until Tuesday 7th. Best place to stay right in the middle of everything. We had a slight problem with heater, not only did they change our room but they upgraded us. The wonderful two lads who worked on the Sunday night shift, love them dearly. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, beautiful place!!!!!

Dear Rohanj1, Thank you for the feedback, looks like there are still some small things that we need to improve on here and this kind of feedback will allow me to do so. If you are planning a trip to the theatre then this hotel is in a good location. At the edge of Chinatown it's just a walk to great restaurants and Bourke street mall shopping district. I was disappointed in the rooms which are dated and very basic. The bathroom is so small that the door will not open more than...

Small room, very compact bathroom with a personal hate of the shower of the Bath. bathroom was a bit aged too. Was a business trip so ok but would not be my personal choice. I thought the tariff for the type of room was a bit steep to. Breakfast was a good selection.

Rydges on Exhibition St Melbourne is a great location, close to theatres and China Town, as well as many other restaurants. We stayed for 6 nights - the main thing we disliked was that there were no drawers or shelves for storing clothes - which meant we had to live out of a suitcase for a week; not fun.

What a fantastic location if you need to stay near China Town all go to the theatres . The accommodation is getting tired but the beds were comfortable. We stayed in room 2208 and think the swimming pool pump house might have been above us with a humming noise through out the night . We will stay there again but...

This place was very good room wise as we got upgraded on check in so that was good and lady at reception very friendly. No concierge to deliver bags to the room was a bit disappointing. Breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic couldn't say the same about the burnt medium rare steak for dinner and fries that tasted like they...

The staff are really great. Have stayed in both the Queen Suite and KIng Room on recent trips. The Queen Suite great if you have visitors as it has the separate loungeroom. The King rooms faced over the Victorian Parliament or the CBD with great outlooks. The only thing I can fault is some of the bathrooms are a little...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
