Good 4-star hotel in Melbourne CBD offering good rooms. the premier rooms, whilst very nice are a fair walk around the hotel so if weighed down with luggage get something closer to the lifts. Gym and pool were closed for maintenance which was disappointing but other than that had a good stay.

My spouse and I just spent three nights here celebrating a birthday. The staff are helpful and courteous. The concierge desk gave us great assistance on getting around and the room was kept in an immaculate condition. Unfortunately our room was at the furthest extent of the hotel and involved a circuitous walk from the lifts. There was a selection...

great location for the hotel. Bigger than it looks those corridors and the walk to your room can be long. Really good restaurant, had a lovely meal and reasonable price. Breakfast buffet - as per usual it was all cold. Not worth booking a buffet on a week day

We stayed at this property twice this year and both times arrived at the 2 o'clock check in time and both times neither room was ready. The first time the room was not ready until 4 o'clock. The last time it was 3.30pm. At least this last time we were given complimentary drinks and a snack platter while we waited,...

We stayed here before an appointment in Melbourne. From the minute we pulled up in the pouring rain till we got to our room all the staff were so lovely. They took our car with out a problem $35 which I thought was reasonable in Melbourne and nothing seemed to be a problem. Even the cleaning staff in the hall...

Stayed at while away for work , the location is great central with easy access to the shops. I had room service and the food was of a high standard. There was a mix up with my booking on check in which resulted in some confusion, may have been checked in someone else room ! Being called by a different...

My only complaint would be the lighting in the room ,a little too subdued for me . The hotel is in a great location for shopping and the fabulous restaurants . I certainly would stay there again ,all the staff were wonderful nothing was too much trouble .

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
