Situated in a very nice area of Melbourne. Very lovely and very helpful staff. Good basic rooms, somewhat modern, comfortable bed, very decent bathroom. Perfect after a 24 hours flight. :) As Melbourne is a busy city with lots of traffic and this hotel is in the centre, it is not very quiet, I'm afraid. Even in the quieter rooms...

Stayed here again with a girlfriend for a visit to the theatre. Staff friendly & most helpful on check in. Rooms have been updated since my last visit. We had a double bed to ourselves, very comfortable, rooms neat & modern, bathroom renovation is great, have removed the bath & a lovely shower recess instead, no balancing getting into the...

We stayed at the Mercure Treasury Gardens in August 2013. This hotel was clean, stylish and conveniently located (short distance from the CBD and very close to Parliament station and tram stops). The room was well equipped with everything that you need for a short stay and hotel staff were friendly. Got a good night's sleep- great blinds and quiet...

Every facet of this hotel was of a very high standard. On check in we were offered a room upgrade. The room was on the 11th floor over looking the park. The room was very comfortable and while the heating wasn't working on the first night the front desk staff had it checked and reset straight away. Nothing was too...

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Would certainly go back. Great location as on circle tram route. Room small but very clean and comfortable. Obvious it was recently refurbished. Passed bed and shower test. Only problem was noisy a/c.

Stayed for our second time in 18mths. Great location as we were attending a concert at rod laver arena. Room was great with comfy king bed, bathroom is very small but not a huge deal. Check in and bar staff were very friendly, professional and helpful with questions and directions etc. We booked our room about 7months ahead and got...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
