Location, location and location. Rooms are clean and tidy.breakfast Is just a normal continental, which is fine as Melbourne has such great restaurants that you are usually too full from the night before. Will be staying again.

Stayed here with my partner for a weekend away, and was very pleased with the location and the helpful staff. Room is a standard hotel room, nothing particularly fancy. We booked a spa suite and were happy with the bathroom (great size spa, plenty of room for two people to relax). Bed was comfy but the pillows were average -...

A very nice hotel, very modern, clean and stylish setting. The free breakfast was disappointing with your usual cereal, toast and juice. They offered the upgrade hot breakfast for more $$$$ like really? For what it was worth it really should be included. Just something to think about to lift the game and service.

Was upgraded to a premium spa room on arrival and late check out at no extra cost. Location was great, close to the event we attended and plenty of bars and late night food available. Cant complain about anything!

Stayed over Easter and was grateful and surprised to have an early checkin on day of arrival 10am. One room was great the other had noisy bathroom ventilation that could be heard over the air-conditioning. Called reception and fobbed off with it does make some noise. Tried napping on the afternoon with tv and air-conditioning on, dozed off eventually woke...

The hotel is down a small side street but it is easy enough to find, Google maps is accurate and I managed to find the hotel on foot following a 15 minute walk from Southern Cross Station. We spent 4 nights in this hotel and we were very happy with our stay. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean and very quiet. The location is central to everything in the city, which is very convenient. Continental breakfast was included with our room booking and there was a variety of selections,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
