Bathroom was appalling. Dirt or mould in shower runners. Really expensive internet. Charge extra wherever possible (including to remove rubbish from room when I needed it...turns out a view of park or late checkout also require more money!)

While staff were friendly and the bed was comfy, the lifts were slow and full. We ended up going up in an empty lift in order to finally get down after 15 minutes. The car park was good but the ticket didn't work on exit, causing others to wait while I rang and sorted it out.

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable, albeit there was a stale unfresh smell lingering. The bathrooms are a bit tired and could do with a thorough cleaning of the ensuite shower. A bit of outside noise on the Friday night from extra people in the streets not exesseviley late though. Convenient access to the free tram zone and...

Great location, helpful staff and friendly service. Family accommodation for five singles in a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room, fully equipped kitchen was excellent value. Even catered for a request for single beds! Wish there had been some free wifi. Would definitely stay at Mantra on the Park again.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff but lack of free in-room wifi is a real disadvantage. Most other hotels now provide free in-room wifi. If Mantra could also provide this service it will be very good.

Attention to details when cleaning room. Shower could have been cleaner Parking needed more signage on how to get to the Hotel, we got lost a couple of times. Breakfast was great had everything. On the check in they only gave us one day parking when it should have been two so had to run around organizing the other day.

Good location for Melbourne CBD stay, easy walk or tram ride to shopping, food and attractions around CBD. Staff very friendly and helpful, had a two bedroom apartment non park view side of hotel comfortable size and stay. Room and bathrooms needed repainting and a new washing machine.

Was not aware that they charge a surcharge for WIFI. This is a big shame and I feel strongly against charging customers additionally for WIFI. Service agents were quite helpful. Rooms were there best thing about this place. They were very large and clean and made a very pleasant stay.

We enjoyed a 6 night stay in Melbourne with the convenience of a tram stop outside the door and close proximity to the city. However the appartment needed a more thorough clean and a refresh in the en-suite at least.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
