We made a mistake, booking two nights for a three night conference in Hobart. Our hotel was booked solid for the third night, so I googled "Best hotel in Hobart" as a starting point for a search, and the Grand Vue popped up. I would liked to have spent the whole three nights here, but will most definitely make up...

We stayed here for two nights on a five night trip around Tasmania. Our tour guide (Tasmania-I-Drive) had organized this. Excellent location in that it is just a short walk to Salamanca and it is literally a couple of minutes to an excellent Italian restaurant and a number of other eateries. The highlight of the stay though had to be...

We stayed 4 nights here during our first visit to Hobart. This beautiful boutique hotel is located in Battery Point, an historic area of Hobart which we found to be the ideal location, only a 5 to 10 minute walk from Salamanca Place and the harbour. The rooms in the hotel have been superbly decorated and looking out at the...

This charming private hotel in Battery Point is a gem. In a quiet street overlooking the river, you would barely know it it a hotel. Very elegant stately exterior and beautifully appointed inside. Our room was very cosy with lovely views. In the afternoon we were delivered piping hot cakes that filled the whole hotel with a wonderful aroma. Short...

The view from the top floor across to Sandy Bay and across the Derwent is delightful - the word used by other reviewers is stunning - is correct. We were given an upgrade because we stayed a week. The room is really well furnished and the bathroom is great. The service is outstanding with John bringing us hot muffins, freshly...

This is a stunning hotel beautifully renovated and maintained. Our room was large and offered spectacular water views. During our stay we also managed a peek in almost all the rooms and every one has a lovely view, so no matter what room you are in, you would not be disappointed. The rooms are large and offer a small table...

The accommodation was superb - we were given an upgrade in our room which was just a perfect start to our time in the hotel. The hotel smells, feels and is clean and beautiful. The renovation has been done tastefully. The personal touch of cake brought to the room each evening was unexpected but delightful. Congratulations to the owners!
