Have no idea what this place was like before the renovations, but it's fantastic now. The breakfasts were brilliant. The chef cooked poached eggs to order. We asked for softly cooked, and they were. The tomatoes were different than I have experienced at other hotels, they were semi dried? Cooked, but not overly done to a pulp. So much variety🙂if...

We stayed at the hotel March 15-19 2017 and thought it was great. The staff were very accommodating, the decor was current and clean. The only difficulty was finding the actual hotel as there is no signage. Take your automobile club membership card because you then get complimentary parking. Close to shops, 3 blocks from the harbour. Highly recommend it.

We spent 4 nights on the 8th floor which had recently been tastefully decorated with every comfort. A large spacious balcony. Wonderful sound of bell tolling practise on one of the nights which was not apparent when balcony door was closed. Breakfast every morning with pleasant staff. Great service all round, very convenient location. Will go back again- would be...

Just spent five nights at the RACV Hotel in Hobart and wonderfully surprised. Room size very generous and comfortable. Our room was near the lift/elevator yet silent, everything working perfectly. Location great, easy walk to everywhere. Definitely a good place to stay. Cascades Bar has a great selection of local spirits and beers. Had a fantastic dinner at Charcoal Restaurant.

Stayed here with to adjoining rooms this week and was very impressed with the facilities and the stylish renovation of the property. The old Cascade Brewery office building in Collins St is now the bar. Car parking under the property is also very handy - and without charge to guests.

This is my third stay here and the first since the new renovation. As there were three of us staying four nights I booked an apartment supposedly with kitchenette and clothes washer. Unfortunately our room on the 7th floor had a range hood, but no cooktop or cooking facilities apart from the microwave, jug and toaster. We had to ask...

This girl is in the Centre of town. It is fully renovated. The apartment had washing /drying machine, dish washer. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom. Very good room service. Buffet breakfast was comprehensive. Nice bar facility. Very good value for money. Good parking too. Staff all helpful. Close to lots of pubs, restaurants & tourist attractions.

Enjoyed an 8th floor room worth every penny. And the US AAA discount applies to the rate due to the RCAV / AAA reciprocal arrangement. Reception staff were super. Room comfort and cleanliness beyond reproach, and the housekeeper on our floor made us happy just with her delightful greeting each morning. On thing to note is that, although this is...

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was fantastic. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There was enough room for the two of use and bags making it a great base for our Hobart outings. It's location made exploring Hobart really easy.

It could perhaps be said that this hotel provides a place for upper-middle class retirees to call their own (as astute readers of some other reviews might detect :-). But don't be deterred, this is a VERY nice place to stay. The location is closer to the CBD shopping precinct than to the Salamanca/harbour area but both really are within...
