We enjoyed the ambience, the art, the rooms and the setting. There is a tour of the hotel, offered free for guests which is interesting, informative and recommended The breakfast is great (one of best I have had for a hotel breakfast) and there is a choice of eating places in…
This is the best hotel in Hobart, and one of the best anywhere. The wonderful renovation whilst retaining much of the history resulted in a supremely comfortable and stylish set of rooms and public spaces enhanced by beautiful art works, furnishings and fittings which all work…
Lighting in overall room was poor due to lack of lights, lots of windows but couldn't open blinds as we would then have no privacy. If these things where rectified then the whole stay, was without complaints.
Great location, staff and beautiful rooms. Sadly aircon is very loud as is the plumbing. I have always been a big fan of the Henry Jones but, on this occasion, was disappointed with the high noise level.
Location can't be faulted, and the 2 main in-house venues (Peacock & Jones and Lanscape) are really worth a detour. But the decor & interiors are tired and don't justify the exorbitant room charges which reached an eye-watering AUD600 on 1 night we stayed. Expectations not met -…
"Avoid the studio loft rooms for a quieter experience."
"The top floor is probably quieter."
"for views choose one of the rooms, not the studio"
"Take the harbour view rooms or perhaps the H. Jones suite."
"All rooms are quiet as The Henry Jones is near Constitution Dock and therefore not much traffic at all."
