My daughter and I recently stayed in Hobart for holidays. On early arrival we asked the nice man if we could store our luggage. He kindly informed us that we could check in a little earlier. We were able to leave our luggage for a short time whilst we went off to have lunch,On our return he even assisted us...

If one books into a hotel priced for convenience and value, but above basic back-packer level, one would like the tilt mechanism on the venetian blind on the room window to function; and the soap dish at bathroom sink not to be loose and tilting at a 45 degree angle so that the soap falls out of it, or the...

Two of us stayed here when we visited Hobart to participate in the Hobart Cadbury's Marathon. The hotel is small (may be better described as a large guest house) and I am guessing it has 10 rooms spread over two levels. No lifts (no problem until returning from a 42km run....) Only one small complaint: the drain in the bathroom...

My husband stayed here with our 3 boys after their trek on the Overland Hike. Excellent amount of space in the family room, walking distance to town and Salamanca, great curry restaurant over the road, they could leave their luggage there while they went on the hike and clean. All boys very happy. They stayed for 2 nights. Derek was...

Pros: Derek was very helpful and friendly and carried my very heavy bag up 2 flights of stairs for me. Accommodation was clean, comfortable, spacious and great value for money. Have only ever seen solid marble floors in 5 star hotels, so that was interesting. Location was excellent, right in the heart of Hobart. Cons: If you want to park...

Excellent value for quality 3 star accommodation in downtown Hobart. Comfortable bed in a small but well equipped room with clean bathroom and a very good hot shower. Full service TV, and free internet access available in the lobby. Inexpensive meals available from adjacent hotel or nearby Hovart Workers Club; full buffet breakfast available from 6.30 am at nearby Best...

Stayed here for one night over the weekend, very much you get what you paid for. The room was very clean and tidy, quite small with older furnishings. The blinds would have been nice if they were block out so we weren't woken up at 7am with the sunshine. Bathroom could use a redo but overall a good place to...

We have not stayed in Harrington's 102 so the purpose of this message is not to review the accommodation. Rather, I just wanted to make use of this channel to thank the Owner (I believe) who has "saved our lives". We were so stupid not to make any hotel reservations in advance after our Grand Tasmania Circle tour thinking that...

Although rooms slightly on the small side, everythingneeded was there. The rooms were spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the water hot. Derek, who provides excellent service at all times is currently building a coffee shop on the ground floor, which should fill the need for light breakfasts and small snacks. At the price Harringtons is great value for...
