Great location to walk around Battery Point and Salamanca district. Small though comfortable rooms, nice brekky and hosts. Enjoy a very nice port and chocolate before heading out for dinner! Very accomodating in allowing to leave car there after checkout to explore Salamanca markets.

We stayed for two nights at Gattonside with another couple at the end of our two week Tasmanian Tour. The upper floor room was very comfortable. The room amenities were very good including lovely period features in keeping with the age of the property. The bathroom amenities were also good. The service was standoffish with the manager not particularly helpful...

Well, my stay here was. Itching short of excellent with plenty of room and a very comfortable bed. The lounge room with complimentary port was a highlight and definitely the breakfast was outstanding. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Would definitely suggest a stay!

Gattonside offers one of the best locations for a quiet stay in Hobart. From here you can walk to almost everywhere worth seeing. They have plenty of off street parking for your car. Their rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is included in the cost of the stay which is a nice addition when staying at this beautiful heritage home....

We stayed for 5 nights. The house itself is beautiful and nice touch of port for the guests in the lounge and a beautiful verandah to sit on. I can only comment on the room we had and considering it was only slightly cheaper than other rooms I since found out I think it was pretty dated. Carpet needed a...

We loved this B&B. The location was excellent, the accommodation was very comfortable, but most importantly the manager Robert was absolutely amazing. He went out and got us gluten free bread and delicious cheese. The coffee at breakfast was perfect. The cooked eggs are yummy. We sat on the porch after a day at MONA dinning tea and having a...

Nice terrace and lounge available for guests. The staff were friendly but not there most of the time so you are on your own with the other guests. Breakfast was fine, a different cooked option was available but every day but...

We spent three nights at this lovely and historic B&B and we could not recommend it more highly. This place was clean, comfortable, charming, and convenient. They offered free parking and free wi-fi. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was included and was quite nice. The downstairs salon offered free port and chocolates but we were...
