We stayed at this hotel the night before leaving for a 4 day walk on Maria Island so we had to leave at 7:30am. The booking included Breakfast and I had read reviews that said this was excellent, however when checking in we asked about the breakfast, expecting it to be available from at least 6:30am as is our usual...

This was best stay of our 2 week trip around Tassie - even better than Cradle Mountain lodge. Very well located near Salamanca and parking available across from hotel but prebook it. A great 2 room loft style with forward facing views to harbour. Excellent good value restaurant - we dinned in 2 of the 3 nights and were tempted...

We stayed one night at The Custom's House and I am happy we upgraded to a water view room. The original sandstone walls brought the history alive and the morning sunrise over the water was inspirational. The included breakfast was hearty and delicious; the best one in our entire 5 week trip. I would love to stay there again!

Nice hotel right in the heart of Hobart. Close to the pier and everything is in easy walking distance. I wish my fire place would have worked in my room , but I understand why it doesn't. The bar and restaurant are right downstairs. I love staying in places like this.

We booked 3 rooms over Easter and it was a perfect location for activities in Hobart, close to Salamanca Market (Saturday), cruise terminals (ferry to Mona - Museum of Old & New Art) restaurants & pubs. You can book car parking in advance ($10 per day) when confirming your booking - essential as parking is at a premium in central Hobart....

A great place to stay in Hobart. We had 1 night here and found the location ideal for easy access to the Salamanca markets, the harbourside and the casino. The room was very clean and overlooked the harbour. Windows opened out to the fresh air. Overall very happy.

We had another comfortable stay. This time we travelled with elderly parents. We stayed in rooms 16 &17. These rooms are very comfortable and large, with waterfront views. We all enjoyed the breakfast which was included. This hotel is coneviently located on the waterfront and near Salamanca.

In recent years my husband and I have not considered staying anywhere else when we go to Hobart as the Customs House meets our needs beautifully - superb location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, pleasant dining area and reasonable rates. When there was recent confusion over the tariff, this was quickly and expertly handled. We have never had a major problem...

We sacrificed modernity for convenience and are thankful we did. This Hotel is also very competively priced and we stayed 6 nights. It is a great all round facility with bar and a reasonably priced but very upmarket restaurant. We were warned about the noise and came prepared but it was a non event other than some yobbos in the...
