Do not stay at this hostel if you are in a group of 5 or more or if you want to relax. Yes, the location is great and it has good amenities, but it was ruined for me and my friends. First of all, there are signs everywhere you look about getting fined for this and that, even on the...

I have stayed twice at this perfectly adequate backpackers hostel in central Hobart. It is within walking distance to everyone you need including public transport, shops, and attractions. The staff are friendly, it's relatively clean, it feels quite safe, but it is old. It is also pretty basic, quite the rabbit warren, and NO PLACE for anyone who can't handle...

A friend and I spent a night (Feb 10, 2017) at Imperial Backpacker. After spending several nights at two other backpacker hotels in Hobart, I have to say that the one night I spent here was the most restful one. We stayed at a twin beds room. The room was decent with plenty of space and two lockers and several...

The rudest, impatient owner on earth. Can't believe the way he treated me with no respect no manners. Horrible place. If you want rude and miserable service, book your room here! One dirtiest place on earth. Mind you dorm rate not cheap and Service crap, the owner's attitude stinks! If he was a bit nicer, then it would make a...

Found this hostel online while I was staying at another hostel in Hobart, decided to move here the very next day. Best decision ever. Location is great, right in the middle of CBD. Really comfy beds, spacious and clean kitchen, shower needs a little scrub but toilet was okay. Wifi works fine. Organized and spacious common area with a nice...

Never stayed at a back packers- not something my husband would ever consider but my girlfriend and I thought we'd do a quick cheap visit to mofo and so chose here. It was ok. Bit like being back in nurses quarters. A bit run down and I would definitely not give it many stars for cleanliness! We wore thongs in...

Imperial Backpackers is located in the heart of Hobart CBD, great location for usually an overnight stay. It's pretty basic but it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Wifi is free and works everywhere in the hostel. I suggest splashing out a bit more and going for the king beds as there is only 2 per room (4 in total).

We stayed in a private double room - the beds were comfy and it had good power sockets, two small lockers, a mirror and a small heater. The room otherwise was very sparse and not particularly welcoming - the floors were wooden and not flat. Shared female bathrooms (about 2 available per floor) were clean, but not very modern and...

I booked a king single room for 4 nights for around New year's eve, which was quite pricey, but wanted a bit of comfort. The room was old, dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The bed linen were clean but it seemed that the room had not been cleaned for a while. There was only one toilet in function on...

This hostel has 1 thing going for it - and that is the location. It is right in the middle of Hobart CBD - very easy to find BUT first of all one has to climb several stairs to get to reception, then reception -checkin and checkout- has limited hours (closes at 7PM so if you arrive afterwards then you...

Dear guest, We appreciate your time to review us. We wonder if you went to the wrong hostel. Our receotion closes at 8pm. In addition, we never charge extra feel for late check in guests since we started our business.
