Room was not finished being renovated- exposed wires and power points, masking tape still on the door to be finished painting, bricks left outside our window, with a view of the wall, and single towel rail with suction caps to wall, so it came off every time. Very noisy from the reception area. Bathroom not cleaned well at all when...

I have been staying at this motel for over 20 years on my visits to Hobart - initially for work and later holidays. It's best features are the proximity to Battery Point and Salamanca Place and its cost. The motel is on a steep slope with a lot of steps up to the reception. The new owners have been renovating...

Fantastic. Room was great. Very quiet. Recently refurbished. Good parking available and only 10 minute work to Salamanca or Sandy Bay shopping centre. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others. Thank you

This little motel is undergoing an upgrade and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The rates are fantastic and the location excellent. It's a few minutes walk from Salamanca Place with the Saturday market and all the restaurants to choose from. It's such a find I almost don't want to tell anyone in case we can't get a room next...

The view near the hotel is superb. The room is tidy and clean. The service is good even though the reception was not attended 24/7. We stayed there for 5 nights. Daily room service is very good too. The price is very reasonable and could not ask for more.

This is my first stay at this hotel so I had no preconceived idea as to what it would be like. It is on very busy Sandy Bay Road so very limited parking is available at the rear of the building, with a first in best dressed as far as getting a parking space. Check in was easy as I...

Arrived in Hobart for Wooden Boat Festival, Hobart was sold out. Found a vacancy at Blue Hills Motel. Hobart has really old architecture. This was the case with this building, but it was run down very difficult to drive to. Parking is minimal. The room was not too bad apart from the TV being so dark that lights needed to...

We have been staying here whenever in Hobart for over 10 years, so this motel obviously has a lot going for it. Over that time we have seen many changes, from an unrenovated '50s gem with all blackwood furniture to an unfinished and slow moving total makeover which is still not complete. The renovated rooms are now minimalist Scandinavian. We...

We stayed four nights. The room was so loud, could hear people talking all night and the people in the next room sounded like they were in our bathroom. Extremely minimalistic. Friendly staff but we got walked in on once while we were resting and the cleaners knocked on our doors and wanted to come in while we were resting...

I only booked the budget twin room as accommodation in Hobart was limited and expensive. Room and bathroom had a bad odor and not cleaned properly. House keeping was inconsistent; one day I had no replacement bathmat and bin wasn't emptied. Walls are paper thin, you can hear other guests talking, old pipes shuddering and doors constantly slamming. Although the...

Thank You for reviewing the Motel. Thank you for your lovely comments on our staff. They always have a smile on their faces & are willing to help. I will pass on your comments to them. We are in a great location making it easy to walk to the waterfront & shopping areas. We do take our housekeeping very seriously...
