We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at this small, quirky and charming hotel. Our room was huge and the largely female staff was delightful and very helpful. It was particularly impressive considering that the hotel had changed ownership the week before our stay, yet it ran smoothly. The day that we left, one of the staff even helped us carry our bags across...

We loved this 19th Century property with it's excellent decor, and the 'dumbwaiter' lift which took our luggage to the second floor! The hotel is so centrally located and is within easy walking distance to the shops, restaurant precinct, markets and the harbour. The rooms were spacious and spotless, the bed comfy and it was extremely quiet considering we were...

Great location and clean and comfortable for a short stay. Main disappointment is that there were no windows in our room- except a small one in the bathroom. The windows in the main bedroom looked out onto the hallway so had to keep the curtains drawn for privacy as other guests on that floor walked past quite often! Only found...

I really enjoyed staying here. The hotel has a magical ambiance, reminiscent of Alice In Wonderland. So charming and our room was very large, clean, with an incredible comfortable super large warm bed. Absolutely fantastic. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nice touch with continental breakfast and great coffee included.

Over recent years I have stayed at Macquarie Manor 5 or 6 times, I have always enjoyed my stay and have recommended Macquarie Manor to family and friends as a top place to stay. Unfortunately, that all changed this weekend. We phoned last weekend to confirm we could have a car park and to advise that we would check in...

Great downtown location, close to everything; lovely elegant old hotel with beautiful wood banisters and moldings; very friendly staff; usual continental breakfast. We felt as if we were back in the 1800s.

This hotel is lovely to look at, well decorated in all the common areas but the room we had was a bit tired and the bathroom was part of the room. Breakfast comes with the room rate but coffee doesn't. When we asked to leave our bags until our flight time later that afternoon we were charged 5 Australian Dollars,...

We loved Hobart but didn't really love the hotel, but while I may be critical about it, there are also lots of good points. If you need wifi - don't use this hotel. It is ridiculously slow. If you want a light and airy room then make sure you know exactly which room you will get. Price wise, I think...

Whilst the Manor is central and reasonably quiet it is over priced. Our room was spacious, old wardrobe which is totally useless, bed was comfortable, writing desk without any writing pad or pen but it did have a kettle and two cups on it! A surprise package was also found in one of the drawers, a box of condoms! The...
