    My partner and i attended a wedding on Hamilton Island and stayed at the Whitsunday Apartments. The apartments themselves were so much more spacious than i was anticipating and had a small kitchen with a full size fridge which was a massive bonus!! We stayed 5 nights in early October (school holiday time) so Hamilton Island was buzzing with lots of families! But this didn't impact our stay at all. The buggy's were booked out, but we'r vit sounds everywhere using the complimentary green and blue shuttle buses (and free bus to/ from the airport). The WAHI was close to the beach and a short ride on the green bus to the marina (where most of the food places were), or a short walk (over a hill). We would love to holiday back there again... just gotta get saving!!…

    Lovely place - Large apartments
    Lovely place to experience Hamilton Island from. Large and beautiful apartments with all that you would expect for a week of holiday on the island. Pretty place with a good to experience everything and the service at the reception is nice and willing to help with different kind of requests. There was an incident with a fire alarm on one of the nights, where we were staying at the hotel, but it was handled well and everything was fine. Can be a bit special with all of the intrusive parrots and kakkadoos, but for stupid europeans like us, then it was just fun and exotic :) Great experience.…

    This was our first time in Hamilton Island and we picked WAHI as it was the cheapest and being a family of 5 things are already exxy.. kids stayed free under 12 and they accommodated 3 children without question. Our room was pristine... beds already made and what a view. I cant thank you all enough for an amazing stay. Reception were super helpful and friendly with any question and what a perfect spot to stay. Across from the beach and the never ending pools. Very peaceful place to stay also. We will be back and have recommended to friends. Thanks again for making a stay with 3 children easy. 💜💜💜…

    We have stayed here every year for the last 6 years. Close to everything and the service is excellent. The units are well equipped for cooking and magnificent views. Highly recommend the apartments and walks nearby.

    Fantastic value for money
    With a big family we chose to stay at the WAHI rather than the pricier options and found the value absolutely amazing - views were spectacular, amenities were fantastic and staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was great, there is a coffee cart in the morning and shuttle buses at the front entrance. It made exploring with little kids so easy! I would definitely recommend WAHI to friends and family. A perfect holiday destination.…

    Is there a designated smoking area?
    The balcony was allowed to smoke, and outside too but I'm not a smoker ;)

    Are the single bed divans a decent size and would they fit ok moving just the mattress part on the floor of bedroom? We are not really keen on kids in lounge room at night when we want to stay up...
    Yes they are quite big and the couch cushion can be taken into the bedroom on the floor. It is bigger than a single size mattress. There are 3 couch cushion/mattress that can be used. Hope this helps. If I can find a photo I will put it up

    How long does it take to walk to restaurants??? Keeping toddlers in mind!
    I highly recommend you use the free shuttle service. It will take you from your apartment down to the marina where the shops are. It does a round trip which means it will come past your hotel approx every 15 mins. You could also hire a golf buggy but they are super expensive. $99.00 for 24 hours.

    We are staying in the Whitsunday Apartments in March as a Family of 7. Frangipani 204. Apparently it's on the top floor and there is no lift, have just discovered this. Hubby is 70 and has issues with stairs, has anyone stayed there and can you tell me if the stairs are steep or daunting or doable for an older person? I believe it's on the third floor? Thanks in advance 😜👍
