Green Island is a beautiful location. You can just visit during the day, but when you stay overnight you avoid the crowds. Full marks for everything, apart from price- it is very expensive, but if you can afford to treat yourself for a night or two (or more) it's a magical place and we loved it. Unfortunately when we stayed...

As a couple that usually travels and has to be 'doing something' each day, I did wonder how we would survive on a small island for a week. Well we had a wonderful time doing just what we wanted at our own pace. Snorkelling, swimming, beach walking are all available and the pools provide alternate locations when the wind or...

We spent 3 days staying in a Reef Suite and the standard of the accommodation was excellent. The Emerald Restaurant was exceptional with the high standard of food and lovely staff who went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your dinner. You start your day with a beautiful breakfast and then spend the day doing as much or...

When visiting Cairns it is highly recomended to go to Green Islando where you can spend at least one night in the Resort. Besides the water sports and related barrier reef activities, you will sleep in luxury chalets and enjoy the magnificent restaurant Emeralds. Try the picnic meal!

Spent a lovely week on beautiful Green Island. From the check-in at the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns to the check-out we were looked after exceptionally well by the friendly and efficient staff. The accommodation and grounds were very well maintained, the food was great, the drinks at sundown on the beach a lovely way to meet other guests, the...

From check-in at the Reef Fleet Terminal, to check-out the following day, our entire stay was one our family with 2 young daughters will long remember. I'd chosen Green Island so we could spend a couple of days and a night teaching our kids to snorkel without being on a rocky pontoon with hundreds of others. While there are hundreds...

Overall our family of 4 adults and 2 children had a great stay on a weekend at Green Island Resort. The beach was peaceful and great after 4pm (when the day tourists have all left) with the kids enjoying close encounters with the fish swimming all around them. Resort staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating to our needs. We enjoyed...

We spent 3 nights here in January. Which is of course a busy time . However. Once the day trippers have left after 430pm . We had the island to ourselves . I don't why people are complaining about it being so deserted . This is the whole beauty of this place . We had the beach and restaurant to...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Yes it's expensive and yes there are a lot of day visitors to the island but having said that, we found the service to be excellent and the day guests easy to avoid. Food in the restaurant was amazing and the activities were more than enough for us. Rooms were very good quality and...
