An amazing low cost holiday. Even getting to the island was remarkably simple via Keppel Konnections. This glamping village on the west side of the island had me watching spectacular sunsets feeling filled with gratitude after days spent on remote white sandy beaches surrounded by the most crystal clear water I have ever seen. Afternoons paddling in deep turquoise waters where I could see the ocean floor. The perfect place to reset and forget stress. Wildlife every day including turtles and rays. Incredible snorkeling on so many different locations around the island. GKI is my new favourite SUP destination and I will definitely recommend the village to everyone. They have all types of accommodation but the hosts are clearly passionate about the island and provide absolutely everything we needed for an extended stay. The minimart was a wonderful bonus but Coles online delivering to the island meant I almost didn't return home. Island time is all about the chill and these guys ensure guests are relaxed and slow down to enjoy it. They took us out in the boat, lit a fire for us every night and kept the village immaculate with the best crew of staff who really care. Peace, love and sandy feet is now our family mantra 💖 Thanks to Geoff and his amazing crew who make it so special. Most people I met there had been at least 4 times. We will be back!

One night wasn't long enough to explore this tropical oasis! Geoff the owner and all the staff were incredibly friendly and the location was tranquil. We stayed in a glamping tent and it was very spacious and comfortable. If you are staying for a while I would suggest bringing an esky with food and make use of the communal kitchen as the food at GKI Hideaway Island Bar & Bistro although nice, it was a little pricey and there aren't any other dining options. At GKI Holiday village they had a self serve kiosk where you could pay for snorkel hire, snacks and drinks which was very handy. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the future and plan on spending more time on this piece of paradise! Thank-you so much Geoff and staff!

My friend & I spent a fabulous week in the house on the beach. Snorkeling every day just off the beach & walking through the bush & butterflies around the island to the other beaches. GKI Holiday Village is really the best place there, the camping & cottages are beautifully maintained, surrounded by tropical gardens & the communal kitchen large & airy. Geoff is a wonderful host, bringing us blankets for the cool nights (we were there in June) & even helping out when we ran out of biscuits! I couldn't recommend this place enough. GKI is a paradise, perfect for truly relaxing & getting away from it all. I have been telling all my friends about how great it was. Will definitely be going there again. Thanks so much Geoff - Kati & Cathy

Do we need to bring bottles drinking water? 😎
No there is a specific tap drinking water on the kitchen. Don’t use the other tap sink water, the water will be salty.

What is keppel like in July? Can you still swim? Is water cold? Thanks 😊
Hi, the water is not cold in my opinion....still 23degrees. The water is its clearest in the winter...its my favourite time....you can walk on the sand without burning your feet. And its cool enough to sleep well . Sounds great! Come on try it.....
