    Ok not the best meals and overpriced for a average meal and not a big enough dinning during peak waiting til 830 for dinner rooms are ok shower curtain shubs are pretty grose and they wink wink didn't have the footy on in the rooms but somehow had it on in the bar how ironic . Also really watch the fine print with the company they have a lot of hidden extras …

    The beautiful Sunsets at the sunset bar and Lake Mckenzie made our trip. Spending time at the pool was relaxing but having to return to our room to get ready for the night was disappointing. The smell was bad - damp, musty and cockroaches. The hotel is very tired.

    The resort itself is really lovely and a very relaxing place to be. Plenty of activities for everyone. The staff were mostly terrible, but standouts were Gerard on the day tour and the rangers. Also the seabelle restaurant was great service. Everywhere else, appalling.

    lovely environment
    Great place to visit and very easy to see island and surrounds form here. Good service and happy people generally. Some issues but were resolved well. go on te kayak tour and the beauty spots tour. great.

    A nice way to celebrate our wedding anniversary
    Kingfisher Bay Resort is positioned in a fantastic spot on the island, offers a lot for the whole family. The highlight for us was watching the amazing sunset on the beach while sipping on a cocktail.

    How do i review this resort
    Are the standard hotel rooms close to resort amenities? Are there stairs involved?
    All Resort Rooms are in easy access to the main resort! When booking ask for the Rooms on the lower Floor and you have no stairs!

    Kingfisher Bay Resort belongs to the ACCOR group of hotels, and it shows: vulgar, bland, impersonal, cheap (as in poor) and out of touch. Cage eggs, toast bread out of a plastic bag, fiddly little plastic butter and jam containers, expensive internet (unless you want to wait 5 m8n for an email to download on the free service, only availably in the lobby). Only thing missing here are the right wing Murdoch tabloids (Daily Telegraph, The Australian). Want quality? Give ACCOR a miss.
    Ouch, judgement day...must be 2 Kingfisher Bay Resorts. Doesn’t sound like the one I recently stayed at...maybe not 5* but still very pleasant. And I appreciate the sanitary consideration of individual serves of butter and spreads actually, rather than dipping in with everyone else!

    How far is the surf beach from the hotel and how do you get there? Walking distance?
    the beach where the barge docks is nice and calm, great for the kids. that's about a 5-10 minute walk. Main surf beach (where swimming isn't recommended) is on the other side. You'll need a 4wd to access this beach.

    Can we see everything in 3 days at your resort
    I don’t know about “everything” but if you book on the tour it would probably cover most. We had our own transport so could please ourselves. There are walks as well and water activities. It depends what you want to do.
