The hostel itself is very close to the center, which is very convenient. If you have something to do during the day, it's an ok place to stay at, but the atmosphere there is very dull and no one would exchange a word in the rooms, even though the rooms were loaded with backpackers (depends on the people of course)....

We booked a private 2 bed room and for the price we paid we can't complain.. There was a kitchen shared between 2 rooms (no one was in the other room so we had it to our self) own bathroom with a bath and a shower, a living area with TV, sofa, and dining table.. The fan in the room...

Stayed here for 6 nights in Feb 2017. Pool area is good but a bit dirty, kitchen is tiny not enough room in fridges for food. Communal area and bar are good. Organise nights out which is great for meeting people as a single traveller. Unfortunately, someone in my room didn't stay in the hostel but gave their key to...

Hi Emma, thanks for your review of Backpackers in Paradise, cleanliness and security are two of our top priorities. The gentleman in question that let himself in was in fact checked into that room and had taken over the booking from another guest. We do hope you enjoy the rest of your travels up the east coast. Kind Regards, Adam...

The room floor was dirty and the bathrooms could use a scrub as well. When I first got there the reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The bed I was sleeping in was very un-sturdy so I could feel all the movements from the person above me. The music was exceptionally loud till 11/12pm so you couldn't get to sleep...

The places is really nice and super close to town. The bedrooms are clean and there are plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen is pretty small and you need to bring your own knifes and forks, but otherwise there is everything there. Nice hostel!

Very nice and clean rooms! Friendly staff and great location close to beach, shops and bus stop. You can hire surfboards for 15/day and also get 30min free wifi. Only downside is that kitchen is quite small and dirty.
