From the moment we arrived we realised how lucky we had been to find this beautifully-appointed apartment. Karen had been really helpful with the booking and Jeremy told us all we needed to know, and then we just got on with enjoying ourselves. The place was clean, newly refurbished and really comfortable. Quiet, but very close to the beach and... More

The location is fabulous. Close to Macrossan Street, & the 5 mile beach. We had a 2 BR apartment on 1st floor overlooking the pool as requested. The apartment had great light, 2 bathrooms, spacious. All facilities including washer/dryer were fine. If you are looking for a top renovated place, this is not for you as the bits & pieces... More

Our holiday in Port Douglas at The Sun Seeker Apartments was sub standard in every possible way. Coming from NewZealand and with the expectation that our accommodation would be comfortable we were aghast to enter a unit that smelt musty and unlived in. It was dirty the bed was rock hard, stained chair cushions and carpet, couches that were so... More

We stayed in apt. 4 from Sept. 21 to Sept. 26. The two bedroom apt. was spacious with two washrooms, and a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The apt. was clean and tidy, but there were some stains on the sofas that needed cleaning, and some updating is necessary. The air conditioner worked very well. It was perfectly located... More

This apartment has been severely neglected in terms of fixtures. Beds are as hard as concrete, blinds are broken and the lounge is as comfortable as a bag of marbles, and the fridge barely keeps things cool let alone cold. When reported simply told by staff the management in receivership and the elderly owner not willing to update. The location... More

The only thing going for this place was the location. Aside from that, we experienced problems with both the airconditioning and fans, and a terribly outdated decor complete with dodgy-brother renovations. Not even the ironing board worked properly (every time we opened it up, it fell apart). This was probably an apt sign of how little the owners have been... More

Well I can see from other reviews, that this apartment block is terrible unless you want to pay for the penthouse. I found the same issues. Apartment was old, tired and dirty. Amazingly at $115 per night, you don't expect all the latest mod cons. But one does expect cleanliness. Yes there was no-one here upon arrival, and as an... More

No one was around to greet us on arrival and eventually we found some one to help us find reception 2 hotels over. We booked 3 nights and were told to leave on the 2nd. We were told that talking, laughing or even whispering were not permitted on the balcony and is a breach of contract. The contract also stated... More

We booked direct after seeing the website and it looked super with a spabath, bedroom overlooking the lounge and a sun terrace. The reality was they swiped our card before seeing the apartment and realised the filthy condition of the apartment. They had locked the master bedroom with the spabath and had to put up with the other bedroom with... More

We appreciate getting feedback from guests and do follow up on their comments. Since this incident we have spoken to the owner who has now re painted the unit and removed the old carpet and refitted the unit with tiles. More
