I really enjoyed this place. The room was comfy, nothing fancy, but had everything I needed including a big deck with a ocean view. I woke up to the waves crashing on the surf every morning. But the best things about this place is the location and facilities, other guests and the staff. Your in between cairns and port Douglas,...

Thank you for your kind words. And you said it all, we indeed enjoy taking care of our guests, without pushing you to do things you not feel like doing and yet making sure you get all services available. We will never claim or would for that matter, want to be 5 star with all those rules with does and...

Hidden little resort outside of Port Douglas with its own private beach. Highly recommend a beach front room, you literally walk out onto the grass and the beach is right there. The staff is friendly, they arranged all of our tours and excursions. The onsite restaurant is really good with a rotating menu. You may want to rent a car...

Nestled on a private beach in a stunning and totally private location the Turtle Cove is a very comfortable place to stay. It's situated in the Daintree Rain Forest and ideal for doing the Great Barrier Reef. The scenery around is absolutely stunning and the resorts private beach is beautiful. The resort is simple and comfortable and designed for relaxing...

Thanks Paul for you kind words, And yes you are so correct; we would not want to be perceived as a five star resort, as it brings with it all the usual restrictions and rules. We just want all our guests and friends to just feel comfortable, without any rules. And yet, bit by bit we keep upgrading to make...

To escape a bitterly cold winter, we had a wonderful week away in Queensland staying at Turtle Cove. Lovely, peaceful beachside surroundings are managed superbly by Bert and his wonderful crew, to the point where guests feel like family. Other reviewers have mentioned the great service, great food and great secluded location - we agree. We met many interesting and...

This place has a beautiful beach view and feels really nice and secluded. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. It is very relaxing to be able to enjoy the sounds of the ocean from your room deck. There is also ample parking as you will need a car to visit.

Thank you for your kind words. Now you hear no waves, because the day after you left the wind totally stopped And now the sea is like a lake, only hear the water hugging the beach. What a great location and resort, felt very private and secluded. More or less had the beach to myself and the staff were freindly and helpful. The food was great, so must have been improved since the old reviews, basic breakfast, good choice of lunch and eveening meals. well done :) The beachfront villas were so worth the extra cost...

A warm welcome awaited us on arrival which was very much appreciated after our somewhat lengthy journey. To our delight we were upgraded to a beach front suite which proved to be very comfortable, clean and convenient. We were just metres from the beach and the restaurant/bar area. The self serve tropical/continental buffet breakfasts were delicious as , in fact,...

Been meaning to write this up since June. Love the place. Right on the beach, good waves in the sea, not frantic nor over-crowded. Love: large grassy lawn in front, breakfast, lunch, dinner on your own or chatting with someone new at the Turtle table. Its really about all those things you can't get at just about any other place...

Fifth stay at Turtle Cove Resort (TCR) in 20 years. The Resort transfer on arrival worth the money unless you’re a newbie; then I suggest a car hire as there is terrific sightseeing in the vicinity. Thank you for your kind words. You are so right; the owners are determined to get Turtle Cove back to the famous old days.
