3 of us stayed for a week in a 1 bedroom apartment with a king bed in the living room. Well appointed and recently refurbished. Had everything we needed and close to all restaurants and Marina. The walk along Macrossan St everyday on our way to 4 mile beach was a chance to check out menus and decide where we...

A group of friends stayed in a 4 bedroom unit. We found the staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating of our requests. The unit we stayed in was clean and nicely laid out with everything we needed for our stay. The pool was lovely also. The location was fantastic - right in the heart of town, opposite the sunday markets...

Thank you for your review of Club Tropical Resort, we agree that the location of the resort is ideal for the markets, restaurants and still an easy stroll to the beach. Rex Smeal park is a great location to watch the boats come and go and a unique spot to enjoy the tropical sunsets. We look forward welcoming you back...

We booked and paid for seven nights accommodation at Club Tropical. The day before we arrived we had a call from our travel agent to say that Club Tropical had overbooked and we had been booked into alternative accommodation which would be of the same or higher standard. This turned out to be the Reef Club, which was managed by the...

Dear 2imps, it is disappointing to read your review of Club Tropical, as we discussed at length with you during your stay the turn of events that lead to the unfortunate situation we found ourselves in with your reservation. As soon as we were aware that the reservation your travel agent made on your behalf, had not come through to...

Apartment 123, though in the Club Tropical complex, is not run by them - as was made very clear to us on our arrival! The apartment itself is fine, facing Wharf Street with ready access to the pool, an outdoor kitchenette, full-sized fridge, huge TV and two bedrooms. One has twin beds, the other a King-size, plus ensuite. The good...

We loved our stay here. To note from other reviewers, yeah furniture may be outdated but i think its the Flintstones style of joint. Didn't bother me none. And yes a downside is that the shutters don't lock. However to overcome this i ever so slightly opened louvres which meant handle then blocked the consertina effect, which locked them in...

The couple that run Club Tropical are very helpful and attentive. The rooms are a bit tired and our view looked onto another hotel (room 30). Pillows weren't very comfortable, so used the ones from the couch. It is conveniently located to local shopping and restaurants. Having said that I thought the pricing of the room was fair/reasonable because of...

Best location for everything in Port Douglas. Walking distance to all shops, Pubs, Beach and the Marina. Located right across the road from The Court House Hotel, having a Macrossan Street balcony, I was able to sit sipping my wine listening to the band play if I didn't want to sit in the pub. Friendly, helpful staff. All in all...

We had a two night stay here and found the resort room quite good. It was very large, with a good sized bathroom with a spa and outdoor, but covered kitchen area. The rooms are a bit dated, but ours was clean and comfortable. The shower head was a water-saver meaning you had to do a bit of running around...
