Really nice resort a little too far from the center of town but easily accessed by the shuttle buses. Unfortunately they are doing renovations on the restaurant and swim up pool bar, but looks like it will be fantastic when completed.

When we checked we were intending to actually extend our stay to two nights - but that seemed very complicated and then the receptionist mentioned the "Undergoing Renovations" phrase... uh-oh.

She re-assured us that they were "just" doing the restaurant and bar "no worries".

Dear Samba75, Thank you for your review. Our Wharf where the restaurant in located is not a banquet room and is actually utilised as a guest lounge area and restaurant during peak season. We apologise this did not meet your standards. My apologies we did not meet your requirements and once again thank you for your feedback. Kind regards Duncan Mars General Manager

Facilities are pretty good, Staff are friendly and accommodating, The pool and the poolside bar is fantastic! Spent most of our time in there.

Downsides, the gym is a bit sparse and the reception(due to hurricane-proof buildings) is non-existent, The wifi is only available in th

Hi, we will be arriving the Easter long weekend via the tilt train Brisbane to Cairns. Is there a shuttle bus run by the hotel? If not, what is the cheapest way to get to the hotel. Someone told me it would be $80 for two people to take the bus from the train station with a suitcase. This seems like a ridiculous amount of money. Any tips?
We drove up from cairns airport after hiring a car it seemed to work out much cheaper The Ramada is probably the furthest hotel from the shopping/main st of PD and the cost of buses, taxis etc seemed to justify the car hire. In saying that there are both private and public buses that will get you from cairns to PD be aware that without your own transport it will take a lot of time to get around PD and the surrounding area
