Stayed 3 nights, price comes with reasonable breakfast. Reception was friendly enough. However, housekeeping was very poor - no vacuuming of the floor or washing of the cups. On one of the days, waited for cleaning until after 4.30pm before they finally cleaned the room. On the first two days, some power outlets in the room were not working. Reported...

This Grand Hotel of the past, located a block from the ocean front, used to be "the" hotel. We expected a little bit more of the grandeur which has obviously been lost. It now caters mainly to Chinese Tour Groups and was supposedly sold to a Chinese investor. During my stay many of the rooms went without hot water, 2...

Thought I would splurge on a top room at this Hotel, after day surgery. The room was large (for $269 it should be) King Bed, good size balcony bathroom etc. Problems- advertised Cable TV and DVD library - had neither. There was a DVD player. When I went down to ask about Cable just told no we don't have, so...

I was pleasantly surprised with the room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub and an overhead shower (that seemed to cater to a smller crowd since my head was almost touching the shower head) The staff was suoer friendly and accomodating and the location is close to the esplanade. The only thing I would recommend is...

Wife and I recently stayed here and while the exterior gave a tropical, almost colonial appearance, the interior and facilities were very tired and in néed of substantial maintenance. One plus was the attached restaraunt, and while not fully catering for a western style breakfast, served an excellent chinese cruisine for dinner, all be it on the expensive side. In...

Stayed here one night before cruise. We DID get upgraded to a better, bigger room. Yes, everything is dated. There was no paperwork in the room, and never came after I asked for it. Bed was super comfortable, though. My biggest complaint and the reason I am not giving this hotel a better rating is because we are foodies and...

The hotel is really nice - the hotel is centrally located, and is a safe area. I walked around the town as a single female in her early 20's and felt completely safe. I would say that the breakfast is very strange in the Chinese restaurant - but it was buffet style, so you could at least eat something. There...

The room is nice and spacious except for the bathroom but the ac not adequate. It doesn't seem to cool the room to a maximum. The extra fan on the ceiling makes a huge racket. Pool very small. Room not cleaned until afternoon and glasses that were dirty left in place. This was annoying. On the plus side the wifi...

We spent one night here on our way home. What a huge disappointment. Definitely nothing like the photo's on their website. Very old and dated rooms. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. The shower is over the bath and the bath is raised a good 350mm off the floor. There was a handrail however I felt it was...

Nice enough hotel, but for what it provides I'd find cheaper...very basic...rooms are plantation style...no views of water...the buffet breakfast is the worse I've ever had..very basic...and aimed at the Asian market..pool nice and always empty of people...for breakfast and coffee other places really close..2 on opposite corners or muddies on the esplanade..great coffee, breakfast and if you have little ones really...
