Was doing an overnight en-route to PNG, so needed to be on the north side of town, and the Colonial Club was the one. A good choice. Dropped off by bus to the hotel in the afternoon, met the rest of the team over dinner, before bed and then an early (dark) start the next day. Used the pool, but...

The location is awesome. On a quiet street block but sooo close to town. Its absolutely family friendly. Multiple pools, tennis court and fitness centre and of course the...

The hotel is spread over a huge area. You can lose your way inside the resort. However, they have signs along the paths. there are 02 swimming pools I think. They have large comfortable rooms for persons with reduced mobility like myself. The breakfast is excellent. The staff very helpful. We stayed there for three days and were part of a...

The Cairns Colonial Club resort is set within its own gardens. After checking in and walking 5 minutes through the gardens to my room, I immediately felt relaxed. The green surrounds, the lush garden beds, the "beach" and the 3 pools truly made me feel in paradise. Whilst the rooms weren't modern, they were certainly large enough and I even...

This is an old style resort in a very tropical setting. Very relaxed atmosphere clean comfortable and attentive staff. Food is not bad but lacking a pastry chef to provide inviting desserts. Extensive buffet breakfast which would suit all tastes. Very popular with group tourists.

We stayed here for 4 nights last week, room was clean when we arrived but not cleaned the next 2 days though a cleaner walked past and did offer clean towels. Room was in dire need of maintenance due to age I think but they are apparently starting to renovate. Gardens are nice even with the water restrictions and pool...

We stayed here recently for three nights using it mainly as a base whilst doing some day trips around Cairns. The property and grounds are nice with the swimming pools nicely laid out. Yes the property is a little dated - it could use a fresh coat of paint but I personally think it was absolutely fine for the price...

Stayed recently at the Colonial Club. Got a locals rate. The room was comfortable but the number of people going past the ground floor at night were numerous, hence not quiet and the location not as good as I thought it would be. breakfast was included with the price making it very reasonable. The motel caters for the large tour...

Dear Tracey G Thank you for your feedback and highlighting the positive aspects of your stay. Being a large Resort, it can be busy... however, with rooms spread over 11 acres in between tropical gardens, pathways and swimming pools the mix of travelers usually blends well. The staff are mindful to remind guests of noise levels - respecting others staying....
