My wife and I had planned a week here but things went wrong the day after we arrived. No fault of the hotel, but we, being from greater Brisbane got caught up in the 3 day day self isolation decree. The situation was handled very well by management and staff to make our enforced rest bearable. Megan from "dial 9 for service" became our new best friend and guardian angle. We ordered meals from the room service menu and these were delivered promptly. Being delivered in cardboard boxes, the presentation left a bit to be desired but the food was mostly acceptable ( except when the wrong breakfast was delivered ). We were fortunate in having a room overlooking Trinity Inlet and with a balcony so we were able to watch the world go by. Covid aside, our room was big, bright and airy with all the accessories you would expect from a good hotel, so our enforced incarceration was not too difficult to cope with. We were glad however when we could finally leave the room and enjoy wandering around Cairns. For those who like a bit of a flutter on the pokies, the place is perfect and has a range of dining options. Tamarind Restaurant is a stand out here. Our next to Cairns is already being planned and we will most certainly stay at Pullman Reef Casino again.…
Checking into the hotel was seamless, and we were provided a complimentary room upgrade. We found our way to the underground carpark and quickly to the room on level 6. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything that a quality hotel should have. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was huge with an amazing double shower head (rain shower head and standard) and the spa bath was fantastic. Being able to make a decent coffee in the room (courtesy of the Nespresso machine with ample pods) was wonderful too. The facilities at the hotel were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the outdoor pool and spa which were clean and well maintained. There is no way that I would choose any other hotel in Cairns.
We always stay at the Pullman Casino Cairns The rooms are large, well equipped and quite luxurious, with views of the river, hills or the ocean. The service is always good, with friendly staff greeting you as soon as you walk in the door, including the very friendly concierge! The breakfast is always good and the service equally as good! The location is walking distance from everything, but without traffic noise! This is why we always stay here :) I forgot to mention the comfortable beds
it is an iconic property in Cairns, but it has been let go, what a shame. Rooms need an urgent refurbishment, like carpets, and furniture. Beds are great and so are the bedrooms. The plumbing should have been changed years ago there is a lot of water wasting. Housekeeping is doing a great job, but it is managed poorly. Rooms are not ready at regular check in times, and staying for several days, one has to wait until 3pm to get the room serviced.
We secured a Trinity Inlet facing room and got one on the top floor. Beautiful room, very well appointed. Check in staff and the concierge were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.
