Convenient / short walk to river, city, restaurants. Would recommend stay when wanting something different to the standard large chain hotel. Building from ~1870s has been renovated to a good standard.

Stayed overnight in Brisbane and really loved the One Thornbury. Quirky and older hotel with darker wooden floors in our room. Really friendly and welcoming owner with advice on where to look in Brisbane. Quiet relaxing place to stay and eating breakfast on the open terrace was marvellous - superb little pancakes cooked by the host were a tasty addition...

This is my 3rd stay at One Thornbury. Geof is a great host and his co host Sassy Cat is gorgeous. The rooms are very comfortable and have lovely decor. The bathrooms are spacious and the towels are fluffy!!! The rooms have coffee making facilities and a fridge/mini bar and wifi. Geof's breakfasts are fabulous. You must try the pancakes....

We spent three nights in this lovely house. The house was built in the 1800.. Hence, not that sound proof. We were in room no 2 right by the main door. Some guests came back around 1ish in the morning & was kinda loud ..having said that, the rest were wonderful & Geof made up for the shortcoming. Location is...

Geof was a very helpful host and cooked amazing breakfasts to your individual tastes when requested. We had a comfortable downstairs room with an ensuite for 4 nights. Most nights we bought food from the local shops and ate in as we walked so much in Brisbane (note very limited off-street parking and street parking is timed). Private transport is...

One Thornbury we're very helpful indeed. Last minute booking by me but, great room, lovely towels and sheets always turn a hard days work into a sound sleep. I didn't get to use the cute outdoor area or the breakfast as I was working long days. They provided me with fruit, nuts, cheese, crackers and juice as a dawn takeaway which...
