In November 2014 I arrived at reception to make a last-minute booking, only to find reception closed with a contact telephone number attached to the door. Apparently at this time Allender Apartments is no longer taking short-term bookings. This would explain why I was unable book this place through a couple of online web sites. From my own experience it's...

Good location for New Farm shops and restaurants. Also river ferries or buses into Brisbane City. For non-Aussie car visitors do not park facing "wrong way" on street as there is large fine which could not be avoided despite various appeals. Good-sized rooms with adequate facilities and quieter than might be expected. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Back in March, my husband and I booked two night's accommodation at Allender Apartments for the first weekend in July. My parents booked a week's worth of accommodation at the same time. With just two and half weeks’ notice, in the middle of June, we have all just been informed that our bookings have been completely cancelled due to some...

This Fantastically located accommodation was perfect answe for our need as we were looking for somewhere closed to city but not yet tucked away in a quiet steert far from the busy traffic. Warm greeting from the hosts. spacious clean rooms. Beautiful courtyard area out the front. It would be perfect if they can add a stove or a cooker...

Close to local shops, Publc Transport (Ferries and Busses), Power House Theatre, Fortitude Valley and Brisbane City....

Allender was the perfect solution for when we needed somewhere to sleep after a nearby function. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, rooms were spotless & comfortable, gardens lovely. Walking distance to Merthyr Rd shops, Coles supermarket, bottle shop etc. It is an older building so those looking for "new & swish" should bear this in mind but for somewhere to...

We had a wonderful stay at the Allender Apartments. The apartments were fully booked when we arrived a day earlier then booked. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodated us in the managers suite when they could not find us a room anywhere nearby. The rooms were very cute, clean and comfortable with pretty patios on the edge of a...

I am traveling Aus on business. Stayed in some backpackers as I am cheap, with company money and mine. Paid $120 nite after negotiating and great value. Lovely place and owners took great care of me. Extra tea and milk when asked, clean, everything good. Not sure will come to Brisbane with family if not on business, but if I...

My husband and I recently stayed in one of the heritage rooms for a couple of nights. We were greeted very warmly by the new manager Nicky and were pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation and the size of the apartment. The court yard areas are tranquil and peaceful and the location is perfect for getting into the city...

I recently stayed at Allender Apartments which is under new management. The new manager Nicky is friendly helpful and fastidious about guest comfort and cleanliness. She is busy bring back the old workd charm of the heritage listed colonial style accommodation and representing the 1960's building as funky and appealing . Overall the gardens are getting a makeover and it...

“If sensitive to noise ask for an upstairs room towards the back so you don't hear your neighbours walking around above you or in the hallway. May also be useful to ask for a room towards the back to minimise traffic noise on Brunswick St.”
