I stayed here for 2 nights before I moved on to Sydney. There was a double bed & a single bed in the room. It was clean and had everything you need in it, a fridge,an iron & board, tea & coffee making facilities. The location was very handy to restaurants, casino & the main shopping district. Southbank was only a 15 min...

Dear JimmyH27, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your comments with other travellers. It is fabulous to hear that you had an enjoyable experience. There are many great aspects about the hotel which it appears you were able to take advantage of during your visit. We receive a lot of great comments from guests about the cleanliness...

Good location within walking distance to most things. Small supermarket close by just as the ATM machine. Good restaurant in the hotel Generous with free wi-fi if you ask nicely. Friendly staff that provides tips and advice. Easy to wash clothes yourself. We stayed there on two occasions, mostly for the location and the prize. Small rooms. Poor glassware, cutlery,...

The hotel is very close to the center and Elizabeth street Mall. The 3 excellent parks - Roma park, South banks and the Botanical gardens are all in less than 10 minutes walk. The rooms at the hotel are tiny, but that is valid for most of the Brisbane downtown hotel. In general I recommend it as a good place...

This hotel is in great central location. Reception staff are friendly and rooms are clean, comfortable and compact. There is a car park underneath which costs 24 AUD per night. I stayed on a Saturday night for 95 AUD, Ibis around the corner were looking for 140 AUD, no brainer to stay at the George Williams. If you book through...

I stayed with my 10 year old grandson for a short city break. The George Williams staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They were happy to mind our bags, and offered early check-in as our room was ready. The 'continental' breakfast offered choice of five delicious cooked and fresh options. The room was clean, comfortable and more...

Whilst the location was convenient and the staff were pleasant, the room was tidy however there seemed to be an unpleasant odour to the room, kind of like a public female toilet smell which made the stay a little less enjoyable and we'll be less likely to book in the future.

George Williams Hotel is located in the very heart of the city of Brisbane. However, it is quiet and good to have a rest in the end of the long day. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. The important note: book your room direct on the web-site so you can get free WI-FI for the length of your stay. The only...

Okay so it's definitely a 3 star hotel. Old school however the room itself is okay. Bed is comfy, bathroom is a decent size given the size of the room. Mini fridge, tea and coffee. Small flat screen TV. I paid $92 for the room on a Thursday night. The location is very close to the Queen St mall less...

This is a must stay! Minutes walk from centre, cheap but definitely not drab- beautifully decorated, very clean and excellent service. The rooms are small but not too small with a fridge and a large bathroom. Close to all amenities. I would recommend again and again.
